Customer Forum will be on Thursday 29 August at Christ Church Consett, Parliament St, Consett, DH8 5DH.
The session will run between 3pm and 6pm

Consett Crown Office
The Post Office, in its continued pursuit of privatisation and cost cutting, has announced plans to close the Consett Crown Office and replace it with an inferior service in the back of a small private independent business (PhoneHub retail store in Middle Street).
There is absolutely no justification for this attack on quality jobs and the wonderful service our members provide to the public. As a consequence, the CWU will be mounting a vigorous campaign to protect the jobs and service and as such calls upon Laura Pidcock MP and indeed all political parties to support our objective in defending the Consett Crown Post Office. It is imperative the local community gets behind our campaign to stop the Post Office in its tracks so together we can protect this vital service now and for the future.
In the coming weeks, we are planning to hold a public meeting and organise a demonstration from the Crown Post Office to the PhoneHub in order to raise the profile of our campaign amongst the local community and to put pressure on the Post Office to reverse its ill-conceived plans. Everyone is encouraged to support the Consett Crown Post Office and our campaign.
