Youssef has put the suffering of the Palestinian people in the global spotlight in a second interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan.

The Egyptian comedian said that the indiscriminate bombing of civilians would only breed more violence.

“Terrorism is a virus. If a patient with the flu came to you … you give them nutrition, fluids and rest so the immunity of the body gets rid of the virus on its own," he said.

Youssef said that Israel had “weakened” the bodies of Palestinians, making them unable to get rid of 'hate and radicalism'.
