Mrs. Bent's Fourth Grade Class

Looking forward to meeting my new class very soon!
On this last day of a very strange school year I want to take a moment to say "Thank You" to parents and students. I thank you for your patience, grace, and understanding during this crazy time. This is the last thing I would have expected or wanted for this class this year. I want you to know that I see the great job you are doing. Parents, you are raising some terrific kids with great character and kindness. I am so lucky and happy to have been able to know all of you.
I also wanted to mention that there has been a car "caravan" planned where teachers from the Jr. High and MWES will be traveling the streets to wave on this last day of school. The route is posted on the Mable Woolsey PTO page if you are interested in watching.
Finally, I shared a video that I made for the kids with them on our Zoom meeting, but wanted to share the link in case you would like to view it again. That video will remain on my Youtube channel for viewing anytime.
Have a great summer and I look forward to being together again in the future.
Love,
Mrs. Marcie Bent

Good morning! I have planned a ZOOM meeting for tomorrow to check in and see how everyone is doing. We will try an early evening time to see if we can get a few more participants. Our meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22nd at 5:30 p.m. If you are unable to make this meeting, don't worry we will try again! Stay tuned for our daily read aloud later this afternoon. Have a great day!
Information to log on for the meeting is posted on our ClassDojo page and Google Classroom.
There are new E-learning activities on our "Learn at Home" site for this week. Please let me know if you need paper materials instead of online. Also, if you enjoyed an activity from previous weeks, you may choose to redo one of those activities. I will post later today with more information about a ZOOM meeting I am planning and a video of a new read aloud I will begin. Have a great day!

The new E learning board is up and ready! Follow the same link to get to the new board. The new board is dated through April 17th. You also have access to the old board if there were activities that your child didn't complete or would like to do again. I am reposting the link here and in Google Classroom. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Have a great day!

Book battle results.
Good Morning post and book battle results
This video shows the winner of the battle between Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and The Mitten Tree
The results of the book battle between The Lemonade War and The Legend of the Blue Bonnet.
The "Battle of the Books" begins. Today we will vote between "The Lemonade Wars" and "The Legend of the Blue Bonnet". There are three ways to vote: Comment below with your vote, Comment on our class page, or comment on Google Classroom. I will announce the results tomorrow!
At the beginning of the month the kids and I came up with 16 books that we would vote on in the March Madness Book Battle edition. I have posted a Flipgrid assignment in Google Classroom that will allow your child to create a “book talk” about the book or books that he/she like best. I would love to get lots of participation if possible. Please let me know if you need help getting started! We will begin voting in the next few days!
Welcome to Mrs. Bent's fourth grade! Stay tuned for pictures of learning in action!
