POLICE RESCUE 6 HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIMS
Camp Olivas, City of San Fernando — Law enforcement agencies successfully rescued six individuals believed to be victims of human trafficking during a well-executed operation on August 25.
Under the leadership of PRO3 Director PBGEN JOSE S HIDALGO JR, a collaborative effort involving the Regional Anti-Trafficking in Persons Task Group 3, WCPD, San Fernando CPS, and RRPTP personnel from DSWD FO3 led to an operation in front of Golden Haven, Brgy. Calulut, City of San Fernando, Pampanga. This operation resulted in the arrest of a 22-year-old female pimp, Jasmin DELA PEÑA y Diaz alias KANG, and the safe rescue of six individuals who were being allegedly offered for sexual services.
The suspect is currently facing charges for violations of RA 9208, as amended by RA 10364, and RA 7610, with preparations underway for filing in court.
PBGEN HIDALGO JR commended the dedicated efforts of the operating teams and reassured the public of their continued commitment to combat all forms of criminality, particularly human trafficking, within the region.
