This one is tough. After almost a decade, I’m officially stepping down as the head coach of the men’s volleyball team at Seneca.

Being a college coach has been a great privilege and I’m proud of the work that our coaching staff has done over the last several years. Unfortunately, the season took a toll on my family and with 2 young kids, and all the weekends I missed because of the season, I had to make a decision that’s best for my family.

Thank you to all the players that have been part of this program. I’m truly grateful for the memories and culture we created. Always remember, you have me as a coach for life.

Now what does this mean for DVA. This is the best part. I’m going to be able to bring a lot more value to DVA members than ever before.

I will be in many more college gyms now that I’m not a competitor and be able to bring way more value from the greatest minds in our game to our DVA members. I will also get to spend more time with the national team and work with a lot of pro coaches oversees.

I’m still going to coach 1 varsity high school team a year to stay connected to the youth so I’ll still be able to bring behind the scenes access to my gym.

I have a huge vision for DVA. DVA is the biggest coaches academy in Canada and one of the biggest coaches academy’s in the US. This is where I want my primary focus and this is where I know my purpose is. I have an opportunity to help change the sport and make lasting change by helping you be a better coach.

This past year has made it very clear that something had to give and I’ve never felt more excited about the future of DVA, the impact I can make in this sport, and how much more I can help coaches around the world

Thank you to everyone who supported me when I first launched DVA 4 years ago. It was tough to build it into what it is today and with your continued support, I can’t wait to see what DVA will be 4 years from now.

Looking forward to the next chapter in my journey.
