As some of you known N9na’s Apothecary LLC partnered with Wichita's Littlest Heroes for PROJECT WLH.
Originally this idea came to mind when I was going through all my scraps of fabric. I thought to myself ‘ what’s something I wore to help myself feel more ‘secure’ or ‘confident’ when my alopecia was at it’s all time peak!? My own response was hats! I wore hoodies to cover my head, I wore hats to sleep in, I even wore hats to school after I had to get a note from the dermatologist! Hats were my security blanket if you will. But during my time all of my hats were unfortunately ugly and not pleasing! However my grandmother began lending me her scarfs to wrap my head with and I became obsessed! Obsessed with how easy it was to wrap but also obsessed with all the different prints! Even during the times of when I would wrap my head I would still get questioned and looked at like a deer in headlights. I would still continue to look for cute hats but never had any luck! That’s why I took matters into my own hands but added a twist! I began sewing bucket hats made out of upcycled fabric! (Reduce, reuse, & recycle baby com’on now!!)
I wanted to be able to not only provide cute upcycled hats for anyone dealing with hair loss but I also wanted to give back and help out in anyway I can! That’s why 45% of each sale (PROJECT WLH ONLY) will go directly to Wichita’s littlest heroes themselves!
