World Tuberculosis Day is held every year on March 24 to commemorate the day in 1882 when Dr. Robert Koch announced his discovery of the bacteria that causes tuberculosis (TB). The day is designed to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of TB, and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. TB is one of the world’s deadliest diseases. It is an infectious disease caused by bacteria that attack the lungs and can spread to other parts of the body. TB is the leading cause of death among people living with HIV, and is one of the top 10 causes of death worldwide.
Every year, World Tuberculosis Day is commemorated with activities around the world to raise awareness and encourage action to fight TB. We must continue to work together to end TB. This includes strengthening efforts to detect and treat TB, improving access to quality patient-centered care, and providing support.

World Braille Day is observed globally on January 4th each year to highlight the crucial significance of Braille as a channel of communication for partially sighted and blind people. Over one billion individuals worldwide with various impairments have less opportunity for health services, schooling, and work, and are more vulnerable to poverty, harassment, mistreatment, and cruelty.
The concept of Braille is a tactile portrayal of the alphabetical and mathematical signs that use six dots to represent numbers and letters. This approach was not only difficult, but it also only enables individuals to read rather than write. The method’s flaws prompted Braille to develop a more simple and straightforward Braille system. It’s a symbol based code that’s written in the shape of raised dots. People utilize their touch to decipher the Braille code and continue studying or communicating.

From degrading soil quality to killing marine life, plastic pollution will soon become a bane to our existence. However, the responsibility does not lie only on our governments; individuals must come forth to make every possible effort to reduce environmental pollution. Precautionary measures are important to control pollution. While most of us are aware of the preventative measures that we can take, we also must enlighten those who are ignorant. People must be familiarized with the fatal repercussions of pollution to make them realize the gravity of the situation. Besides, these measures can start right from your home. So, if you wish to create a sustainable future for your kids and the younger generation, don’t delay and take action right now!
