From February 15-17th, Osgoode’s Hockey Arbitration Competition (“OHAC”) took place virtually. Congratulations to first-year JD students Tegpal Khaira and Brandon Bova for claiming the top spot.

Sam Wells and Leandre Hamilton took the silver medal, and Ryan Boros and Parth Mehta claimed bronze.

Calling all writers! Osgoode's Entertainment and Sports Law Association is re-launching our blog and we're looking for writers! This is a great opportunity for 1Ls to get some publishing credits ahead of the summer job season!

❔How can I join?
There's no formal process - anyone and everyone from any of the Toronto law schools is welcome to write for the blog! If you write one article, you'll be credited as a Guest Writer. If you write three or more articles per school year, you'll be credited as a Staff Writer. We encourage you to post about us on your LinkedIn/Resume and are happy to vouch for you as needed! Email us at [email protected], or join or Facebook Group (Osgoode ESLA Blog Writers)!

❔What kind of articles can we write?
Articles don't need to be long! Roughly 300-500 words is perfect, though if you have written a really good research paper and you want to publish it, or you have a topic you're really passionate about and need more than 500 words to cover it, no problem!

❔I have an idea/pitch/article - how can I get it published?
Email ESLA at [email protected] with the subject line "BLOG TOPIC PITCH". Our editor will work with you to write your article and figure out a deadline that works for your schedule.

❔I want to write an article, but I don't have an idea - what can I do?
If you are interested in writing a blog but don't have a topic in mind, reach out! We have a whole list of topics we need covered.

Anaïs has had a great year - they got into Osgoode, started 1L, and joined ESLA as a 1L rep! Most importantly, Anaïs is also celebrating the fact that Phoebe Waller-Bridge, lead actor is their favourite show, Fleabag, has just announced that she’s working on another Amazon project. What a great year indeed.
