UPDATE: McAlester Police confirm the man they are looking for is 26-year-old Preston Wittington, who is two years into serving a sentence for multiple felony convictions, including kidnapping and burglary.

BREAKING: Oklahoma Highway Patrol said an inmate recently escaped from Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester.

This should be good, wait till you hear how much money the previous administration spent each year! I’ve got the county chart of accounts to prove it. Very poor money management! We are doing more with less!

This November you will see SQ 805 for your consideration, this is my stance on the question.

State Question 805 (SQ805) will create a culture where crime is okay in Oklahoma by reducing penalties for career criminals who hurt kids. With SQ805, habitual offenders of serious crimes will spend less time in prison. These crimes include serious and harmful crimes against children such as:
• Domestic abuse in the presence of a child,
• Soliciting sexual conduct with a minor,
• Use of minors to transport or sell drugs,
• Encouraging a minor to engage in drug crimes,
• Knowingly permitting physical or sexual abuse,
• Child trafficking,
• Child stealing,
• Harboring endangered runaway child,
• Possession of weapons on school property,
• Transmission of child po*******hy and more
If SQ 805 passes, the hard work we have done to keep kids safe and healthy will be undone.

Apparently a post of the budget amounts, since 2015 has been put on Facebook. At first glance it appears that the Sheriff, is being provided alot and leaves the impression that I haven’t told the truth. Here is the breakout not being shared of the proposed budget for this year to the Sheriff and Jail. The highlighted yellow portion is what actually goes to the Sheriff for patrol. Sheriff salary, Undersheriffs salary, Part-time payroll, travel, and maintenance and operations (where we pay for fuel and repairs). The blue highlighter indicates Jail budgeted items. They are separate.
Of the $390,450.70, $256,506.12 goes to the jail exclusively.

I’m constantly fighting the powers that be,,,,,, Commissioners..... who control budget and signed the Micheal Bryant waiver of election filing fees for sheriff. Believe it or not it’s public record! Filing fees help your election office throughout the year! I paid mine. I wish citizens would ask commissioners how many deputies they budgeted since I’ve been sheriff the past three years!!! Ty Phillips, Bryce Bohot, and Ricky Martin! How many deputies did u budget for? 0!!!

Michael Bryant, will you debate me?! In public with from the floor questioning? The people deserve it! When county Commissioners sign a petition so u don’t have to file with the same filing fees that help the county operate,,,, I want to debate you!

I beg Michael Bryant to Debate me! The numbers and stats will show how worthless he is as a Sheriff! Debate me... when and where?

I do not agree with the other elected officials who control the purse strings! They would rather offices in the courthouse be occupied, than a deputy be available for your families safety! Look at commissioners proposed budget... county clerk gets more money for payroll than sheriffs department for deputies! They are failing you, and no one knows!
