According to a recent survey, while many people are concerned with how clean their home is or what it looks like, 75% of respondents were most concerned with how their home smells to others and spend an average of $221 per year on fragrance products — from potpourri to pinecones — to create and improve a long-lasting impression.
In addition, 77% of respondents said their entire day could be improved when they surround themselves with a good scent. And 90% of people who work from home said their workspace is more enjoyable if their house smells good.
The survey was picked up by about 160 U.S. media outlets, reaching approximately 13 million viewers.
