PAYA LOTTERY TICKET DRAWING.
Due to school being in virtual learning mode, the distribution of registration forms is going to be difficult this year. So, please help spread the word as to how to obtain and submit registration forms.
REGISTRATIONS THIS WEEK WILL BE ON SATURDAY FEBRUARY 13th and 20th AT:
The Ol Skool Batting Cages located at 1206 Springhill Road (it's the old school on the right just as you travel up Spring Hill from Portage). We will be there from 9:00 AM until NOON and will have forms available.

ATTENTION PAYA:
Baseball, softball, pony league, t-ball sign ups will be held this SATURDAY JANUARY 30 from 9am-11:30am at Dominics Family Pizza. Forms will be there to fill out and the school will be asked to hand out forms the week of February 1st. For more information, you can visit Portageball.com

Congratulations to the Keystone League 9 & 10 year old champions Portage Rotary and the Keystone League 9 & 10 year old runner ups the Portage Legion. Great season for both teams. Thank you coaches for your hard work and dedication to the youth of Portage!!
The winners from the Lottery ticket raffle were: $10 pack Renee Crum, $20 Lydia Fedorko, $30 Tony Sciko. The winner of the 50/50 was Rose Griffin.

Coaches and volunteers please use this free time to get your clearances. They are free, please go to portageball.com for the links. Just click on the tab that says Attention 2020 Coaches. The link for the child abuse clearance worked for me but the criminal history didn't. I'm looking to get it updated, if it doesn't work just use keepkidssafe.pa.gov/resources/clearances/pspcrimck/index.htm

PAYA signups will be extended for one more week, until February 8, 2020. Reps from the PAYA will be at the elementary school gym lobby from 9am until noon for those who need a form or want to drop their forms off. You can print a form at portageball.com and mail to PAYA, PO Box 234, Portage PA. Still waiting on a lot of Pony League and 16u softball!!

Last week to get sign up forms in for PAYA baseball, softball, tee-ball and pony league. Forms were sent home from the elementary school, if you're in highschool you need to get a form from the office. Forms are also available at portageball.com they can be mailed to PAYA PO Box 234 Portage, PA 15946 or brought up to the highschool gym lobby this Saturday from 9am till noon. If you are planning on signing up for the PAYA this Saturday, January 25th we will be in the elementary gym lobby from 9-12. This Saturday only, because of the wrestling tournament in the high school. Signups forms were given to all elementary school students today. Players in the high school need to get them from the office.
Sign up's for tee-ball, little league, softball and pony league will be held the next 3 Saturdays from 9am-12 at the Portage High School gym. Forms are available in the high school for 7th grade and up. Forms will be handed out to all kids in the elementary school this week. You can mail them in, or stop at the school on one of the next 3 Saturdays. Forms can also be printed off of the portageball.com website. Due to lack of interest and turnout, PAYA fall-ball is officially done for the year. Thanks to those who attended and the coaches who did reach out to their teams.
We are having fall baseball for any boys or girls interested in continuing to build on their skills. Any kid who will be playing at the Transition level up to and including the 12 year olds from this year are welcome. This will start the Sunday after Summerfest 8/18, at the little league field from 11-1. Hopefully we will see you there. There will be skills training and game play.

Another successful baseball season in the books. It was pretty rainy but these kids made the best of it. Thank you to the parents, coaches, team and field sponsors, board members and most especially the kids !!!! The PAYA serves over 220 kids in and around the Portage area ages 4 to 15. Not to shabby for a small town. Always Portage proud 💚⚾️
Just a reminder swimming party at 630 to 8. All PAYA participant are invited and included.
End of the season pool party is Wednesday July 24th. Everyone who participated in any PAYA Team is included. 6:30 to 8 PM.

LOST: a black eye glass case by the handicap parking. I lost my Rx sunglasses last night at the park.
If you find them please turn them into the concession stand. They belong to Jeannie Behe.
Please do your best to sell the Cash for a Week tickets and bring to practice with you. The other tickets, please continue to try to sell. These efforts really help us improve the infrastructure of the playing facilities. Sign up costs go towards hats, shirts, umpires, maintenance and other operational costs, so thanks for your efforts!
Opening day for PAYA, please pray the rain holds off !! Come down to the ball field for some amazing baseball/softball !!!!
If any parents can help, we need to get some turf moved from the back entrance of the park to the batting cages. If you can be at the back entrance at 5:30 today that would be great
Attention: Looking for donations for a bake sale we are having at Stagers next Saturday, April 20.
ITEMS NEEDED: pies, gobs, cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies or any other goodies you can come up with.

Calling any girls interested in 10u or 13 u softball. We are still trying to make two teams so if you are interested in signing up you can still do it without the extra fee. Please call 241-2601 for more information. This is only if you haven't signed up yet. If you are already signed up to play, there is no need to do anything further.
PAYA Parents, the 11&12 year olds are allowed to use metal bats this year. They do have to be USA approved. Please share

Reminder tomorrow is the last day of sign ups without the 25.00 late fee. Remember you can mail them or come to the school. We have extra forms. There is a girls basketball tourney so we may be at the elem school but there will be a sign if it is. Get ready for some baseball !!!!
