Hello My People,
I understand you guys were waiting for this lockdown to end. But don’t you all think it is worth it to stay at home a little longer? There is a reason why this lockdown has been imposed and the reason is taking away lives. Yes, It is. Out of approximately 11,500 cases confirmed, close to 400 have died. The death rate is high, it is about 3.4% which is not really a good thing.
It’s not the time to act in frustration and do not let the negativity consume you. Think about the positive side of staying at home and what you are all going to achieve at the end of this whole Coronavirus pandemic. The lockdown has been imposed till 5th of May and trust me it will extend. We are just going stepwise which is even wise. Make up your mind for the next 2-3 months. Unless the cases stop emerging, the lockdown wont end. For now the cases are rising at close to 1000 per day. So the answer to your queries as to when this lockdown will end is- I am not really sure when it will, but I can say that it shouldn’t end for the next 3 months atleast.
Even if the officials/the healthcare worker put in their 100 percent effort, the population of India is extremely high and the number of doctors and healthcare facilities available extremely low. With this rate, there may be a time where the hospitals will have to decide who to give the treatment and whom to leave without treatment.
You may be able to recover, but what about your parents, grandparents, that old neighbour who brought food for you, that friend’s mom who has diabetes, that friend who has been a chain smoker, that aunty who has asthma, that uncle who has high Blood Pressure/ heart disease, that lady who was pregnant and many more.
Here are few things you guys can do :
🟢 Spend a lot of time with family, avoid spending most of your hours on phone( You can check your screen time of your previous day to ensure productivity). Play games, discuss future plans.
🟣Take up online courses on things that interest you- eg-Some art course, tally course, personality development course, dance classes.
🟡Maintain healthy lifestyle-the whole family can focus on healthy eating and doing some home exercises together.
🔴Both partners could take turns with cooking and cleaning.
🔵Read a book or listen to an Audiobook. Watching TedTalks is again my favourite
🟤If you have a hobby, that allows you to practice at home- it could be baking, painting, skating or anything and you had left it cause you had no time, now you do! You are saving the time of travelling to work, saving the time of packing boxes, getting your kids ready for school etc.
Lastly I will be posting some home work outs and food ideas for each day and there is a challenge coming up which will include getting healthier and fitter. If you want to be a part-let me know! This is for people of all age groups. We can all do it together! If you are obese, your challenge would be to get your BMI to a normal range, if you have diabetes-it would be to control your sugar levels, if you have PCOD- your challenge will be to get your periods back to normal and control your symptoms.
I will be there to guide you guys in each step.
Last but not the least-We all need a lot of positivity guys! Lets not make this any more difficult. Help each other, spread love! Be kind. If you bring others up or help them, you will feel nothing but happiness 💖

Know your ovulation dates and best time to try for Pregnancy-by Dr. Sumaiya Periods, Ovulation and Pregnancy- Part 2. Please Note: These videos are made solely to create awareness. You should contact your own doctor for medical advice.
Hello Everyone!
How are you guys during the lockdown? Is everyone doing well? We should all be here for each other. Especially for the people who are staying away from their families,it must be really difficult. Therefore I am keeping an open thread where you guys can share how you all are coping up with everything going around. Are there any problems you guys are facing? Is everyone managing their groceries and essential supplies? Is there anyone in the group who is not financially stable and requires any help with food? Since most of you are in India, I am sure each one can help the other. Not just physically, but we are all here even for some emotional support as well. Lets all be active and try and help each other through this.
Please be Kind to one another. Let me know in the comments about your acts of kindness and that should motivate the others as well. No matter how small you feel your act of kindness is, it is worth sharing with others to keep things going!

COVID-19
I can see a lot of people panicking, forwarding posts which are not true.
It is important to take care but even more important to stay calm and take your measures to control the spread . Be kind to one another . Do not follow any random video/post on whatsapp or any other social media platform. I will help with guidelines from WHO and CDC. I have made videos and uploaded on youtube,if you can-please check the video to clear your doubts and if you don’t have time to do that post your queries.
I also understand that this is not just affecting people physically but also mentally draining with the increasing numbers.
Please let me know if there is any information that you guys want to about COVID-19 (Coronavirus Novel). I will try to be as active as possible on this post. Shoot your queries and no question is too stupid or simple .If you have a query, don’t hesitate to post! I am here to help! 💖

Ask Doctor Sumaiya Hello Everyone! I am Doctor Sumaiya. I am here to spread Medical and Fitness Awareness through this channel . This channel focuses on making people aware of ...
🦠COVID-19 is declared as a pandemic by WHO!!
What are we waiting for now?
Please do not be influenced when people ask you to not take it seriously and keep saying there are other things to be bothered about. The need of today is to try and stop the spread of Coronavirus.
With 2 new cases in Mumbai(to be confirmed)and the spirit of Mumbai as we know it, there is a likelihood of it spreading vastly across the city. Mumbai-Please chill for a few days!! Everyone in India needs to be smart. As I have kept saying, ‘Neither panic nor take it lightly’
Please take the time to take the important steps and isolate yourself as soon as you know you are getting even mildly sick. Do not wait for it to get worse or do not keep saying that ‘I have good immunity, as I don’t get sick.’
Think about someone you could come in contact with who’s immune system is not strong enough- it could be your parents, grandparents, relatives, friends or someone you don’t know.
It is highly possible that you didn't directly come in contact with the person but through the surface. Just because you wanted to prove that your immunity is amazing, you could cost someone their life!
Please talk to your school and college authorities as a group to contain this pandemic at this stage.
Work From Home should be allowed everywhere it is possible!
Take leave and rest whenever you feel sick in case you are not given WFH options. I understand work is important but keep health your priority as work can be focussed on once you are well but the vice versa is not possible.
Avoid travels which are not absolutely necessary.
Symptoms, as we know, are- Fever, cold, cough, runny nose, sore throat, headache, tiredness, body aches, and diarrhea. The symptoms may be really mild in most people (around 80 percent ) and severe in a few people.
Please visit your doctor immediately with masks on if you develop flu-like symptoms.
How can you prevent getting affected?
-Wash hands, Wash hands, Wash hands-Cannot emphasize on this enough!. If in a place where water and soap not available, use alcohol rub/sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol for 20-30 secs.
-Use sanitizers as mentioned above even while travelling in trains, buses and cabs.
-Everyone who feels the need to touch everything around-please control yourself. This virus can survive on the surface from hours to days.
-Stay away from railings, switch boxes, door k***s etc. Don’t rub your body on the door while trying to open it. Use a tissue instead to push it.
-If you still go for work and have biometrics-Make sure there is a sanitizer kept right after using the biometric.Use it before you touch your face and go to the washroom to wash hands with soap and water.
-Everyone who has this habit of touching face again and again( every normal person touches their face 20-30 times/ hour on an average) please control.
-Do not wear masks when not necessary. Masks should be worn only by people who are sick, their carers and people working at the hospital or health care providers.
- Do not eat undercooked meat/egg. Use a separate cutting board for uncooked chicken/meat and cooked food or vegetables.
-Do not use antibiotics to cure the flu.
-Avoided crowded/ nonventilated places.
-Do not drink alcohol/ cow urine/ smoke weed/take powders or meds in order to cure it ( Don’t be fooled by baseless claims)
-Do not believe every WhatsApp message you see or news article you read unless it is from a trusted source. Confirm it from websites like CDC and WHO or feel free to post your queries on my page.
Updated information is collected from WHO, CDC, and State health authorities.
I will be updating about COVID-19 on a regular basis.
