A few things I made this week!
Is it really a vacation if you don’t stop at every quilt shop you see? On a recent trip to the Branson area, we stopped at in Branson West, Missouri. It’s such a cute shop with some great deals. My girls and I loved browsing everything they had to offer. ♥️
Anybody else knit hats in the summer and daydream about snow? It’s been 100° for the past week here in Missouri, which makes me wish for cooler temps. Of course, when it’s freezing out I wish for summer. Funny how that works. What are you working on today?
This is *finally* finished! It spent way too much time on my longarm being ignored. Spooky season is right around the corner, so the timing couldn’t be better!
Pattern: Tick Tock by
Summer is in full swing, which means my kids’ summer activities are going on and I’m their ride. 😅 I haven’t been doing as much crafting as I’d like to be, but I did recently finish this hat. Yarn: Wool Ease Thick & Quick Color: Butterscotch
More this weekend. My family loves camping and we are on our first trip of the year. This morning we spent some time at a playground by the lake. The weather is beautiful today and I love that we got to spend it outside. 💜
Pictures don’t do this yarn justice! It’s so pretty and delightfully squishy in person. I have a feeling one of my daughters will want to keep this one. 💜
It’s been a minute since I’ve had a project on my ! This is the by using an adorable jelly roll I found a few years ago at Walmart. It’s April, so tell me… am I really early for or really late? 😅
I’ve been taking my projects with me everywhere lately. If I have to hang out for a while, I’m probably going to do some knitting. As you can see, no place is off limits! I’ve taken my knitting to the salon, the book fair, the pool, and work!
This week has been crazy busy. Softball practices have started and we still have school year activities for a couple more weeks. It’s been hard finding a spare moment to take pictures while there’s good light. Anyone else feel like a taxi service for your kids?
I’ve officially failed the . I purchased a skein of yarn. I did immediately make this , so it didn’t go and live in my yarn stash. My 9yo is very disappointed that I couldn’t wait until May 1st to buy this. 😬
I love how portable knitting can be! My kids wanted to swim at our local community center, so I packed my project and we hopped in the car!
I am really enjoying . I love seeing my pile of finished items grow and my stash of yarn shrink.
Despite a busy week of work, meetings, and after school activities, I managed to finish two more hats this week! Not pictured is the set of rainbow scrunchies I also completed. I found myself in a store that sells yarn this week and am proud to say I didn’t buy anything!! is still going well.
I promise I haven’t just been working with yarn lately! I’ve been slowly making a quilt. It’s a great stash buster, but is taking a while. I currently have 119/143 blocks completed. I have so many ideas for the quilting and can’t wait to have it finished!
I’ve been inspired by to work using only yarn from my stash for the month of April. I have more than enough to keep me busy. Maybe I’ll even record some reels? You never know!
This winter felt like it lasted for 2 years. I’m ready for warm weather, sunshine, and all the happy colors! This week I made an entire rainbow of velvet hair scrunchies. There’s something about ROYGBIV that makes my brain happy.
As much as I love color, neutrals will always be a staple in my wardrobe. This hat is a great stash buster. I was able to make two hats from a single skein of yarn! The question is… what color pompom should I add?
Anybody else over the gloomy weather we’ve had this week? We’re on spring break this week but it certainly doesn’t feel like spring yet. But since we’re stuck inside I decided to be productive and made this cute navy scrunchie. It took my girls less than 10 seconds to ask if they could add it to their collection. 😂
I am on a yarn kick lately. Like a lot of you, I have way too much yarn. This year I am on a quest to use up as much as I can. Could there be a fall craft show in my future? I figure if I’m going to do that I should start prepping now!
My sewing machine! I have a and I love it! She’s a workhorse.
This is one of my first quilts. I had no idea what I was doing. None of my seams lined up and the satin blanket binding I used looks terrible. But gosh it’s cozy! I made this my sophomore year of college back in 2005. These days it’s full of holes and is in need of major repairs, but I can’t bring myself to part with it.
Hi! I’m Etta, the face behind . I’m so late to this year! Yikes! Anywho… If I’m not working as a substitute teacher you will find me , , , , or !
I love using leftover yarn to make baby hats for my nearby children’s hospital. The rolled hem makes them easily adjustable to fit both preemies and newborns. 💗
A little bit of after work today. I love how quick these baby hats work up. The rolled brim makes them adjustable and perfect for donating to NICUs.
Another finished quilt! My pile of quilt tops is slowly shrinking thanks to my Moxie! I made this top last spring and am so glad to finally have it completed. I actually used the pattern by but rotated every other block in order to achieve the zig zag pattern. This quilt has been done for a few days and someone is always snuggled under it on the sofa. 💗
Another finish for 2023! This from came together so quickly. I did simple straight line quilting using my . My 5 yr old is so excited to have another quilt of her own!
My first finish of 2023! I made this for my 9yo daughter. It is the Luna pattern by and measures approximately 60x72. I did an all over stipple using my Moxie longarm. This worked up so quickly!
What’s better than one rainbow wall hanging? TWO rainbow wall hangings. And this one could come live at your house!
Measures approximately 11”x15”
