• Justin Bernard Williams of Austin, TX, juggles genres across multiple projects and collaborations, armed with saxophones, synthesizers, and the occasional guitar.

Willliams's long running synth-pop duo Neosho is hard at work on their 4th body of work.

July 24th saw the release of Williams's first solo release under the moniker, Bernard - _generative_isolates_01 is a relaxing, yet unnerving full-length ambient work. Out now on all your streaming services.

Williams produces a series of collaborative duo EPs with Handshakes ATX, where he seeks out musicians he has yet to work with and captures the early development of their new sonic dialog.

Additionally, and because there's never enough to do, Williams performs with prog-punk masterminds, Dream Eater.

Sarah Jane teaches at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX, performs as a soloist, looping artist, and with various chamber groups around the world.

Serena Stucke - Testu Collective

Serena Stucke is a sound and visual artist based in NYC. She is the co-founder of Testu Collective, an interdisciplinary art group, with .Testu creates experimental videos, concept soundtracks, and a.v. installations/performances. Currently the collective consists of an evolving group of performers, videographers, musicians, generative artists, and fabricators. The collective’s goal is to liberate imaginations through unique collaborations with artists in sound, movement, and video. Testu has created immersive installations and curated works at Triskelion Arts (Brooklyn), Wallplay’s On Canal (NYC), Flux Factory (Long Island City), Public Visuals (Brooklyn), Honey’s (Brooklyn), Sound Pedro (Los Angeles), and Ideal Glass (NYC). Testu Collective recently released an audio/visual compilation titled 'Solace' to benefit COVID-19 charities.

Shere's first instrument was the guitar and she taught herself to play flute at age 13 in high school band. She later studied flute through The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program to Grade 8 level, but raising a large family took priority and she discontinued her studies. Years later, Shere returned to work as a flight attendant and played her flute in the sky onboard flights and in airports. She was known as WestJet's Flute Attendant! Today, she enjoys creating and improvising with her many flutes and the sky is not her limit!

Excited to announce the other half of the artists for Distant Duet 2, ÉMU

Maria Takeuchi aka ÉMU is a multi-instrumental music producer, audio+visual artist based in Brooklyn, from Japan. Maria’s synesthetic composition, which appeals to other senses beyond hearing, expresses philosophy and emotion.
Through working on a series of ambient audio visual series “COEXISTENCE x RESONANCE”, she experiments ways to express the beauty of organic creatures and sound in nature using technology in order to maximize the experience of live performances.

Maria co-directed and composed sound for an experimental film "as·phyx·i·a" with 3D artist Frederico Phillips in 2015. The project was selected as a New Directors Shortlist by Saatchi & Saatchi, showcased at Cannes Lions and MoMA. It appeared on nearly 200 international mediums including BBC, Daily Planet, TIME, The Washington Post, and Microsoft commercial.

Excited to announce one half of the artists for Distant Duet 2, Melissa Keeling.

Flutist, educator, and composer Dr. Melissa Keeling is based in Asbury Park, New Jersey. She is best-known for her original pieces for electric flute, which incorporate effects pedals such as loopers, delay, harmonizers, and more. Straddling the worlds of classical and electronic music, Keeling's music is described as "stunning and moving" (The Flute View) and "revelatory" (Flutist Quarterly). She has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall and at music festivals around the United States. Her YouTube videos have nearly one million views worldwide.
