-shorts and short sleeve shirts
-tennis shoes
-hair pulled back
-apply sunscreen/ mosquito spray BEFORE school (we cannot apply it at school)
-a sack lunch
-water bottle/ extra drinks

Good evening!!!
I just want to extend a HUGE thank you to you guys for everything this year. Sharing your children with me, the support, the snacks, just everything!!!
With that being said, I will be leaving the classroom after 15 years of teaching. I will still be at Westside but I will be in kids zone as an interventionist.
This pre k page will be shut down the week after school, so that the new teacher can form her page. Please save any and all photos that you want to keep!
Mrs Johnson, Mrs Garza, and Mrs Brown will be back in pre k next year, so no worries… everyone will be well taken care of!

More pictures from the trip! The kids did amazing navigating through the crowds. They followed directions to a “T” we had no issues with anyone paying attention or getting lost, which is a huge feat for 50 4 year olds in a sold out crowd. Thank you to all of the teachers who took the day off to be with us and help everything go so smoothly. 💕

We are home and safe. I don’t think I’ve ever been so tired in my teaching career, but the kids had a blast at Disney on ice!!! Thank you to our amazing PTO for giving us this opportunity ❤️

Happy Tuesday! The kids and I are working on putting together a baby shower for Mrs. Brown, our assistant. She is having a little girl. We are going to do a book themed baby shower and the kids will be planning everything and helping set it up. We will be putting together different crafts/ list/ etc and use this as a learning activity for the kids. If you would like to help with the shower please let me know. You do not have to be able to attend but if you would like to help we will assign you a book and then you will bring/send a snack that corresponds with the book for the shower. We will take care of the gifts, decor, games, drinks, etc. For example: if you get the book ïf you give a pig a pancake¨ then you could send a package of frozen mini pancakes for us to set out as a special treat.
The shower will be on April 12th during the school day (we do not have a time verified yet)

Report cards are going home today. Attached will be their 3rd nine weeks GOLD report. This is an evaluation program that we use to track students progress along with the report cards.

We will discuss registration for kindergarten, strengths and weaknesses of your student, reading readiness, if your student is a candidate for the dual language program, dual language testing, admission, and placement.
