I mean.... couldn’t my dad have just not been a drug addict who abandoned his family? Couldn’t I have just... not followed in his foot steps and partied my face off from age 14-22... and not gotten addicted to drugs? Did I really haaaave to get mental illness passed on to me and make one basic life 20X harder. Did truly learning my worth really have to take a 3 year abusive relationship? Or truly loving my body have to come from years of feeling lost in it due to a chronic illness?

Honestly, I may never know because that’s simply the path life took me on. Luckily now, I don’t view any of it so much as a curse. Because now I have the most profound understanding of my deepest passion- people.
