There'll only ever be ONE Aunt Nan, and there'll only ever be ONE piece like the one you're wearing!

My individuality was the trait I wanted most to share in my work. My pieces tell a story, stitched end-to-end with originality, just like you.

Is there anything more priceless than seeing your work on someone you love? 🧶

This little bonnet is my first piece for my neice Nora Leigh. 💕

🧶 Here’s a throwback to my personal favorite, the plush and versatile "Sunset Slouchy Cowl.” This one-button cowl could be styled as a slouchy triangle cowl OR as a button-and-collar neck warmer! Toasty! 🧣

This custom commission from , the “Sister Super Scarf,” was a super-fluffy double-wrap infinity scarf! So snuggly! ❄️

🥶 Anyone else shivering with excitement... FOR SCARF SEASON??? This week, I’ll highlight some of my favorites! This was my “Winter Bloom 3-Button Cowl Set”🧣 😀

INPUT NEEDED:
🤔 Does anyone else have a coworker who:
🧶 lacks personal boundaries,
🧶 stares for an uncomfortably long time,
🧶 and exudes a toxic level of sass just by existing?
🤷🏼‍♀️No? Just me?
PLEASE expose your 4-legged coworkers and their pettiness in the comments.

Seeing one of my most favorite creations draped over one of my most precious ones while she dreams away on my Nana’s couch feels like a dream come true.

I don’t just want to make great pieces.
I want to make pieces that make memories.

This project was truly an honor, as are they all. Thank you for trusting me with keepsakes like these for your little treasures.

Don’t think for one second that I take the view from my office for granted. The only thing I love more is the thought of making people happy with the things I work on while I’m here. I’ve got lots of lovely, precious people with equally lovely and precious ideas keeping me busy.
Do you have a vision you want made a reality, but you aren’t quite sure where to start? Lay it on me. We’d make a great team, and I love to stay busy almost as much as I love making people happy. 🧶

🧶 This afghan was one of my largest undertakings. I was honored to be making it for a dear friend. In keeping with this gorgeous Americana aesthetic, I included a sneak peek of a current work in progress.

This is Terry the Tooth Carrier’s best friend Barry, my newest character for my nephew Owen. 🐻

🤷🏼‍♀️ Wouldn’t it be so much easier if the Tooth Fairy didn’t have to wriggle lost teeth out from under the pillows of sleeping children? 🧚‍♀️

🤔 Sure would be nice if they were just tucked inside the satchel of, say... a Tooth Carrier... on the much more easily accessible nightstand.

🦷 Meet Terrance, or Terry, your friendly neighborhood Tooth Carrier.

😉 Be nice to your Tooth Fairy.

I’ve lived a few other lives already.
I think this is what humans call “living my best” one.”

🧶 Picked up this gem today...
Because I’m happy doing what I love!!!! 😃

📖 “Sanctuary... a small, safe place in a troubling world...” ⛺️
I’m still hard at work on pieces for you! 🧶

16/05/2020

🤔 Have you ever wished you knew whether someone somewhere was thinking of you? My darling friend Carolyn Ruth Allison made ME a crochet piece, a prayer shawl that will also make a soft and stunning piece to wear out on chilly mornings. What a treasure to receive from a friend who speaks my love language... YARN! 🧶

Tell someone you’re thinking of them. You never know what a difference you might make. 💕

🇺🇸 As for me, I’m still working away, on some VERY patriotic pieces, so keep your eyes open. 👀

Sometimes, we use our talents for something good.
Sometimes, we use them for something really awesome—
Like warming this little miracle while he sleeps.

As a stay-at-home mom who also runs a business from home, having my children home 24/7 has made some usually mundane tasks a little more stressful. Today, Zoe and I showed the school bus driver how much Aunt Nan (a.k.a. “Mom”) appreciates the sacrifice she makes for us. Thanks to her and others like her, snacks and food are one less source of stress and anxiety for many families. Instead, meals and snack times are exciting, and families like ours can look forward to yummy treats and the friendly faces of the drivers who deliver them.
Now, more than ever,
the world needs and deserves our very best,
our generosity, our humility, our humanity.

First eBay order is on her way to her new home! 👋

I was stoked to get an order for these sandals because they looked FUN! In fact, they were SO fun that when they were done, I wasn’t! So I whipped up this bonus “Pearl Treasure” hairpiece, too... because EVERY great shoe needs an accessory to match! 🐚

🤔Got a fun, wearable warm-weather idea? Let’s work on it together and make it happen! 🧶

This "Bloom Where You're Planted" set was inspired by the delicate infant fashions of the early 1900s. I’ve always admired how intricate they were, while remaining functional and practical.
Peonies, poppies, pansies, and primroses...
Whimsical bouquets paired with timeless lace and satin made for a gorgeous marriage between vintage and modern. These pieces for Tina Jo Smeltzer’s 8th grandchild stole my heart!

This glowing mother is just one reason that I do what I do, and soon, another tiny adorable “reason” will be here, too!

🧶 My beloved company has diversified. I’m now also in the business of instructing my children in the endangered art of being good humans. 💞

✏️“Rules” are as follows:
1️⃣ Do your best work.
Don’t give up before you try.
2️⃣ Be your best self.
You deserve that.
3️⃣ Be a good human.
The world needs more of them.
4️⃣ Don’t give up!
We will figure it out together!

I’m in love with vintage crochet patterns from EVERY era! I’ve drawn inspiration from patterns from as early as the late 1700’s! Some of my most prized possessions are hand-me-down books and patterns from my grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and great-aunts. I love heritage in general. Isn’t this one just darling? Someone has a little bundle or bundle-to-be who needs this! 💕

🧶 The tiniest things ALWAYS take the most time!
And they’re ALWAYS worth the work! 🌹

It would be impossible to share all the work and love that goes into my pieces, but here’s a peek!

This beautiful set of cloths and trivets was so fun to design and make! I LOVE when my customers are part of the process of making pieces they’ll love!

Today, my workspace is designated for an adorable amigurumi creation, 🧶
but to a passerby, 👀
it looks more like an alien autopsy! 👽

Can’t wait to share what this one ACTUALLY is! 😂

I love my job. 🥰

What does your “Best Day Ever” look like?
Mine looks just like this, a yarn-covered workspace. And I get to wake up to it every day. 🧶
📦 A new shipment today means a new project tomorrow! A red, white, and blue project for a friend... 🤔 wonder what it could be!?

In Tennessee, 2 facets of fashion know no season,
🏈 a “certain shade” of orange,
👢 and a good pair of boots.

What’s yellow, has a peel...
is hand-washable, and if you clip it to your backpack and shove your chapstick inside it,
you can keep from throwing away another chapstick after dropping it at school because gross?

I think we both know where I’m going with this.

Sincerely,
A mom who buys too many new chapsticks.

🍌 Taking orders now! 😉

🌸 My daughter Zoe named this “Diggy” Xiongmau Kun, or Sleepy Panda!
Isn’t she just darling!?! 🐼
And she’s FINALLY finished and for sale!

This is Huxley the Raccoon, and he is NO Trash Panda. He enjoys long walks on the sidewalk, Starbucks, and is a total food snob. He’s also a REALLY great listener.
Everyone needs a Huxley.
Taking orders now. 🦝 💕
