Paisley is a New York based DJ, artist and music producer originally from Hudson County, New Jersey. A vinyl specialist, digging in crates from Newark to Tokyo to handpick selections. Whether it's an art gallery opening, underground party, or skateboard competition you can find him behind the turntables with the gems he picked up from around the world. Playing a mix of Funk, Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae and even cuts from Soundtracks. His main objective is to take you on a journey through all of his influences. Paisley also created and co-hosts a podcast with Bunzalino called "The True Stills Radio Programme." The dynamic duo have interviewed a wide array of creatives like legendary photographer Mel D. Cole, Dipset's Duke Da God, and printmaker Angela Pilgrim just to name a few. Each of his sets is an immersive experience and often paired with a visual component of chopped up clips from 70s films and 90s skate videos.

Laura Schuler (aka Kate Birch) has made a name for herself in improvised music across half the world in recent years. With her alter ego Kate Birch, she is now entering the cosmos of pop music in a filigree, refined and determined way. With «You», Kate Birch presents the first single from her album «The Fool», which will be released next spring. Although only arranged with violin and synth, she creates a dense sound in combination with her voice, which reminds us of Björk or This Is The Kit.

Thank you to everyone who came last night to honor the life and work of Hoda Zarbaf with us. It was a beautiful evening sharing in and appreciating her complex and intimate work.
If you were unable to join us last night, we invite you to do so this evening.
Doors open at 6pm

Hoda Zarbaf passed away suddenly at the height of the pandemic—a great loss, which the art world has not yet had the chance to mourn. The Bridge and Tunnel is proud to be a part of this international effort to honor her memory and celebrate her art on the anniversary of her passing.
In Front Camera/Back Camera, true to form, Zarbaf introspectively confronts her existential agony, recording the memory of her internal conflict. Made in 2017 as part of the We Are Image-making Machines series, the piece features two projections of the artist and her thoughts. It reveals Zarbaf’s state of “self” reflection versed by the gaze of her ego. Together, the two unfeigned projections exhibit a rather harrowing conversation between the self as “I,” the subjective knower, and the self as “Me,” the known object.
