We are humble country folk, locally owned, not looking to get rich, we are working to earn a living. That is why we do everything within our power to make sure other business owners stay in business, lessen the burden of offering delivery and treat customers with dignity and respect.

Our last launch date got delayed due to technical updates. We are shooting for Friday August 30th but will announce if we can do this sooner.

Right now we have 17 locations ready to go and preparing to add more.

Primos Authentic Mexican Cuisine menu is 99% complete YAY! We are finishing up 1 last category which is the Lunch Specials and it will be qued in active status for launch. We are looking at having this open August 23rd at Noon.
We may do some test runs between now and then and if we so will post that as well as send out news letters.

Its been a rough road getting everything ready but we are in the final stretch!

We are getting there. We apologize for the delay in rolling this out but we need to make sure everything is right.

Now with that being said, I am an honest and up front guy. I will never lie to you. With us being a new service, we may have some hiccups. Important update. We know its been a while, life sometimes tosses you curve balls but with that being said, we have a lot of the Brand name locations in our system as well as Courtney's Diner, Yum Yum, Downtown Pizza, El Morral, El Patron and working on a few more.

We are looking possibly open the platform this coming weekend. We will update on that and if all goes well between now and then, we will make preparations for an official full opening in Roane county and start setting out banners and flyers.

It is taken us a while, we had some red tape to cut through and a lot of personal loss to deal with but we have Grub Runner Roane County well under way. Last night we added (3) new locations and currently in the process of updating existing menus. We are looking at (2) weeks max and hoping we can get this going well before then.

Attention Roane County:
Some time back I mentioned taking over the void left by Meal Express. Those plans are still valid however the last few months I have been struggling with ill family. Sadly my Father passed on March 21st and I had made a promise to him. That promise was that Grub Runner would not fail and would continue. I can not think of a better place to keep that promise than Roane County. Everyone in Roane seems to hold dear the values of local business and that is our core belief and mission.

I may have to do a soft opening but we are working as we speak to bring in menus and I will be reaching out to local restaurants regarding our efforts. I could have just quit but my Father did not raise me that way. It would be so much easier but again he taught me that the rough road is always rewarding if you are willing to travel it. So Grub Runner will be kept alive for my Father and to support my mother. Take care of mom was his last few words to me. So I humbly ask you, the people of Roane County to support Grub Runner Food Delivery once we open. Bear with me and this loss is still fresh but I am chugging forward.

Doordash Drops Driver Pay

Doordash has dropped its base rate from $2.50 to $2.00 for drivers. This means drivers get only that base rate plus your tip (if any) This also means you get slower delivery, unhappy drivers handling your food and sometimes, no delivery at all.

Rest assured you will still pay Doordash the normal fees but you are getting less service. Another reason locally owned is a better option.

Today Doordash had another major fail leaving dashers and customers with no work and no orders. This is the problem with large corporations. We continue to stress this and make the point that the advantage of locally owned service is that you do not have these massive wide spread failures.
If our app fails, we simply notify our driver, pick up your food and continue with delivery as we can pay our drivers directly later.

So far we have only had 2 complaints, one was a misunderstanding and both were fixed. However I like to address issues like this.

So I would like to say,

(1) I monitor every step of our ordering and delivery process.

(2) I have drivers obtain receipts for every order.

(3)I have drivers check orders for accuracy.

(4) I know where the driver is on the road a all times.

(5) I know how fast they drive or how slow.

That is how we strive to ensure top notch service.

This is how Doordash treats drivers. We had a long delivery and our drivers were tied up. So we decided to use our ability to send to Doordash for a driver. I really wanted to test to see how they perform. We paid $17.67 for the delivery. Doordash paid their driver $6 lousy bucks.
