Covenant of Faith Builders Ministry
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. Our God is faithful.
Do all the good you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.
John Wesley
If what you say and do is of God, it will not make any difference if every other person on the face of the earth criticizes you. Likewise, if what you are doing is not of God, nothing other people say will make it right.
WISDOM FOR MINISTRY
1. A generation of believers that TALK before THINKING falls into many failures.
2. They, that are LED by their EGO crash before they end. If God's work cannot be done in God's way, it will never please God.
3. In 2023, learn to keep godly relationships around you. You will need it for your next level of decision-making and counseling.
4. There will always be people who are ahead of you. Learn from them, don’t compete with them so you don't fall into many mistakes.
5. Don't rush in ministry. There is no profit in taking a step that God has not initiated.
7. Honor those whom God used to raise you. Don't abuse them. Your paths will cross one day; it's part of the ministry journey. Such is life!
8. There are too many "floating" preachers who submit to no one. They break ranks to build their own. They do ministry to prove a point, not with the leading of the Holy Spirit. They rush to fall. They have no time for in-depth Bible studies and prayer. No wonder they stress out and mess up their lives. ...don't be one of them.
9. In 2023, be faithful in what God has given to you. Understand that ministry is a process. In Isaiah 28:10, the scripture states:
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Running against the process will lead to frustration.
10. You saw a ministry, its success, fame, and money, so you desperately wanted to be like them. Don't forget they did not show you their scars and sufferings. Every great ministry you see today has many unspoken PAINS. Know it before you rush after their glory. You may be disappointed if you rush without considering their process and journey.
11. Don't break up a church to start your own. Don't build a ministry on the foundation of lies and deception. Time and people change, and soon God will open their understanding. When they know the truth, they will leave you. If God calls you; do it with honesty and he will send you helpers to hold your hands to fulfill the vision.
12. Live your life by faith and according to the provisions you have at hand. Don't be desperate to achieve a height or a lifestyle that your current financial capacity cannot handle. Don't stress out ministry and the church with too many financial demands just to fill your desires. Remember, there is a time for everything. When the time comes you can have everything ...the funny part of it is that after acquiring all things ...you may have no pleasure in them. At the end, JESUS will be all that you need.
Life is a mystery !!!

THE PREACHER’S VULNERABILITY
Everybody needs somebody. Even the most anointed pastor you know also needs the ordinary man's help. In this life everyone is important. God has made it in such a way that our answers to life’s questions are in someone’s hands - meaning sometimes God answers our prayers through the hands of others.
Due to this life’s reality, sometimes we all need people to confide in. One of the most refreshing times is to have a trusted friend, mentor, or relative to pour your heart to in difficult times. When you have a person you can consider in; a person who respects you and at least is willing to help you bear your burden, you have found a friend precious as gold.
As preachers goes on the pulpit encouraging others weekly, they also need encouragement. Sometimes the stresses and demands of ministry take a toll on the preacher’s emotions. His personal life, marriage, family, finances and relationships come under serious satanic attack. Since almost 70 percent of the preacher’s life is spent on the pulpit and helping people, he falls short of helping himself and his own. The same church members who advocate for balance in the preachers life are the same who stress him-up with calls, meetings and emergencies. Yet when he fails in his home, some never show mercy. Nevertheless the preachers "vow" for service does not make him close his ears to the cry of his people, even though he has his own issues.
In his trying times, he also seeks for trust and care; but who does he fall on? THE CONGRETATION! The same members he preaches to weekly. He tells them. Nothing is impossible with God. He tells them his help comes from God. Sadly these statements are often misunderstood. Some thinks that the pastor does not need human help. Instead of been vessels of help in God’s hands these members becomes vessels of accusation in Satan’s hands.
The fact is that not all members understand the humanity of their pastor. Some have looked up to him as their superman who never cries, feels pain, or even get affected by the storms of life. To them he is a man of faith, a supernatural being. Therefore seeing their pastor breaks down, gives them unhealthy impressions. Some leaves the church as others stay with strange thoughts and observations...!
Moreover, there are those who care and understand his humanity. Among them too are the immature, who will patiently listen to the dilemma of their pastor and rumour it around without thinking of its effects on him, his family and ministry, of which these same people are part of. Few are willing to help assist their pastor’s physical and emotional needs. Again there will be those who will be willing to take advantage of him and enslave him with their provisions and influence. No wonder some preachers cant talk on certain things. They can’t rebuke, reprove or even correct their wayward church "sponsors".
The Preacher Becomes Vulnerable
The preacher is human. He is an earthen vessel with a Godly treasure. He suffers as everyone does. He believes like everyone else. He cries and feels the pain of rejection, betrayal and also sees and desires beautiful things for himself. ..HE IS HUMAN.
In all his dilemma, he chooses to confide in people. He tells them all is sufferings, weakness and frustrations.
Sadly the anointed preacher does not always discern right. In his quest for TRUST and FRIENDSHIP, he falls into DANGERIOUS HANDS. He falls into the hands of those who does not FORGIVES and COMFORT.
He falls into the hands of those who PRETEND.
Sadly the pastors most trusted church members become his own ACCUSERS and BACKBITERS.
They fight their anointed man of God with his own words. They turn from being sweet and trusted church family to a bitter and destructive force that seeks their pastors’ downfall; just to make a statement that they were right all along. For this reason I advise that pastors should avoid unnecessary talking and so-called fellowships. Sometimes decline invitations into people’s homes. Be careful where you eat and who you eat with. For bad communication corrupt good morals. You know yourself than anyone. Maybe when you see food, you exaggerate and tell things you have not been asked; even your whole family history. Understand that some are good in setting baits for their pastors. They use food, money, cloths etc.
Your present need can be used as a trap. Sometimes it’s better to sleep without good than to sell your future. Ministry is challenging indeed. But thank God. There is grace enough for all situations. God uses all these to strengthen the pastors’ heart and mind. As he is betrayed and devastated at heart, there are always church members who are matured to hold the hands of their fallible man of God.
I call such members as MINISTRY HELPERS. They are anointed for their man of God. They may not be rich in money but they are rich in faithfulness. Soon they will be the wealthy people in your ministry. They appreciate the sacrifices of their man of God. Pastor if you have such people, value them and keep them by all means possible ( except God is taking some out for His own purpose. Even in that situation, never disconnect from them. They are your real family in Christ Jesus).
Indeed ministry is a burden. It’s full of testing, lessons, trials and victories. My dear preacher , I can understand why you want to give up. I understand why you don’t want to trust anyone again. The feeling of betrayal is still fresh in your mind and heart. The pictures of your betrayers and accusers are in your mind and eyes. You hate to hear their names etc. However bear in mind that GOD IS UPTO SOMETHING NEW!
Romans 8:28 ....let this be your consolation.
You have a high calling. It’s a glorious one. Your pains and vulnerability is a sure sign that your call is real. God did not call a perfect vessel. He is instead perfecting and maturing you through the many circumstances; at the end you will be a strong and be better servant whose scars will be trophies of wisdom in your walk with God and humanity.
Remember, church members are not your enemy. Satan is your enemy. Don’t live in bitterness against anyone. Forgive and move on. Very soon, you will look back and understand that you were in a SCHOOL OF EXPERIENCE and you graduated with WISDOM. A NEW HEAD (MIND) AND HEART FOR A NEW JOURNEY (ASSIGNMENT).
…..TO BE CONTINUED.

We live in a world where some people will easily brand your “LIFE, VISION AND MISSION “as A FAILURE or IMPOSSIBLE. They make you feel that your focus is a failure before you take your first step. However, I have made up my mind to stay on God’s Word. I have also reminded myself that someone’s negative opinion about God’s purpose for my life doesn’t matter anymore. My mind is stayed on God’s Holy Word. His Word concerning my life is superior to all other words, thoughts and opinions. My dear friend be strong and stay focus on what God has called you to do!
