November is here and our “Annual No-Shave November“ fundraiser has begun! You can help by donating to any Patrol Deputy, Jail Officer or support staff. Let’s see what we can do for Tipton County Communications Dispatcher Mike Pratt!
The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office will be partnering with the Tipton Police Department to participate in the fundraiser entitled “No-Shave November – Back the Beards” beginning November 1st and ending November 30th. This will allow officers to grow well-groomed facial hair during this time period.
Traditionally, the money raised from this fundraiser is donated to a charity. This year, the money raised will go to Tipton County Communications E-911 - Indiana Dispatcher, Mike Pratt. Mike was recently diagnosed with lung cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. He has been a staple to emergency services within Tipton County for many years. He has donated countless hours to the benefit of Tipton County residents. Serving with the Cicero Township Volunteer Fire Department, Tipton County EMA and currently as the Fire Chief for the Wildcat Township Fire-Rescue-EMS.
Officers will personally contribute and any person wanting to participate can contribute by donating to any Tipton County Sheriff’s Office deputy or jail officer. They may also be mailed to or dropped off at the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office (2300 West State Road 28 Tipton, Indiana 46072).
Please consider partnering with your local law enforcement and, in turn, helping Mike and his family in their time of need.
