The Rug Bul

These last 2 years have been interesting to say the least. I’ve made over 100 rugs, all starting from a conversation with about a TikTok video about someone making rugs in the crib during the quarantine. I’m like i can do that, and i did. After my first couple i decided i wasn’t going to do the things i thought people would like, but instead focus on the things i wanted to see exist in the world. is one hell of a mentor and put his arm around me early on, and has been supporting me this entire time, buying an entire collection i will be highlighting in the near future. posted a rug i had made of him and Gillie over a year before that. That good brother has been nothing but a blessing, even calling to check in on me. There’s a reason he is who he is to this city. Things went up from there for sure and i appreciate y’all for taking this journey with me. I’m moving to a spot where i won’t have a workspace for at least a few months so I’m sure in the meantime my camera will be my outlet but i will be back up and running some time in the spring. This is one of those albums where you kinda had to be there to understand what this two brothers from Virginia did to the hip hop game. Grindin’ was the single that introduced me to them so i bought the album when it came out and i gotta say, 20 years later i still know damn near every word top to bottom. This commission took me right back to that time and that’s why i love what i do. Can’t wait to see this one in its permanent spot.
