Happy new year to all friends and family on this platform. May you blossom in all areas of your life in Jesus name. In 2024, please avoid complainers: those that complain don't obtain. Avoid fault-finders, some show up as On-air personalities (OAPs), social media influencers, some show up as pastors or Christian leaders; some will say I am also a Christian but all they do is to find fault with what others are doing without providing you with any solution. Avoid critics, good critics don't necessarily make good leaders. Beware of witchcraft, these are people that manipulate your mind with false teachings, some appear as angels of light but are demons. Avoid unnecessary arguments they waste your time, your life, and your emotions.

Focus on your goals, stay motivated don't seek or take permission to succeed, just go ahead and push towards your goals and convictions. Finally continue to seek God's direction and help as you dare the big dreams in your heart.

I will see you at the top!

Dr..Solomon Kpandei

The loss of a loved one, loss of a marriage, a job, some precious relationships, material things, etc, affects people to the extent it has caused devastating impact on their mental and physical health. It affects performance on the job, the ability to trust others, as well as the motivation towards achieving goals. In commemoration of national grief awareness day, join Joan Kpandei ( a certified grief and bereavement specialist and educator) on TVC (DSTV channel 4.18, GOTV channel 45,) or online(www.tvcnews.tv/livestream) as she shares on managing grief and it's effects. Time is 10.00am (WAT, GMT +1) today Thursday August 31, 2023. You will certainly gain a lot for yourself and to help others.

It was a great time over the weekend as I interacted with other Alumni members of Business School Netherlands Nigeria as we held our presidential dinner and inauguration of a new executive council. The event took place at Sheraton Hotel Ikeja Lagos. It was so nice to see the international director Juanit Bouvwer and other dignitaries in attendance. Also in attendance was Professor Lere Bale the country director for Nigeria. There was so much inspiration and renewed challenge for us to put in more action rather than voice which is what action learning is all about. If you are a professional you need to always find time to interact with other professionals to keep yourself on the cutting edge. Thank you Business School Netherlands for bringing us back together

It appears that it is mostly bad news that put Nigerians under very difficult situation that keep coming out from government quarters these days. It is either subsidy is removed leading to over 300% increase in price of fuel, Naira rate to international currencies falling, or inflation rate rising to over 20% or Central Bank raising interest rate. Then the citizens are told to sacrifice and endure hard times so that better days can come. Excuse me, has the people in government sacrificed anything? Did they cut down their own salaries? The state supplies fuel for their cars, repairs their official cars on tax payers money. They are buying new official cars for the legislators, executives, and their aides, their house rents are not increased beyond them because government pays for them. They don't pay higher electricity bills, neither have they cut down on cost of governance yet they add new tax or increase existing ones. Many of them don't even pay the accurate tax because if they pay at all they hire tax consultants to manipulate their account statements to pay less tax. The other day I saw a federal government car with federal government plate number; written on it is "member Federal House of Representatives July 2019 -June 2023". For God's sake that Toyota Camry is still very new. If they really want Nigerians to endure and sacrifice for future benefits, should they buy one single car this year for the new legislators and executives? Won't they simply withdraw those cars and allocate them to current office holders? If Nigeria was a private business organisation owned by any of the people in power, will they buy new cars for new employees occupying the same position others left at this time given the financial state of the nation? And you who defend them and say people should endure the hardship, if you belong to such company will you advice management to keep wasting money on themselves while telling other staff to endure late payment of salaries plus no promotion or salary increase? You see the hypocrisy in Nigeria and Nigerians? If you were a staff of such company and you are suffering such pains while management is busy wasting the resources, will you ask other staff to keep praying for the management and endure the hardship? Please judge yourself before you justify Nigerian political leaders simply because they belong to your party or your tribe. The choice I left for Nigerians to decide whether to keep suffering while clapping for their so called leaders, or to say NO.

Leadership must be by example; else it is all falsehood and a fraud. Let the executives and legislators show Leadership by cutting down on their lavish lifestyle, bogus payments etc., and the citizens will naturally follow. And for those inside or outside Nigeria justifying hypocrisy and evil, it is just a matter of time; it will certainly touch them and their relations. It is called the law of sowing and reaping!

In the game of soccer, the first half does not always determine the final outcome. The second half is an opportunity to restrategize and perform better. As you begin the month of July know that you have ample opportunities to achieve much more than you did in the first half so keep pushing. God is on your side.
Welcome to the second half of the year 2023.

One benefit of delegation is that it releases managers and leaders to rise to higher levels. Going about it the wrong way may deprive the organisation of this benefit. As you lead your team review your approach to get the best.

09/11/2022

One benefit of delegation is that it enables leaders to concentrate on key areas of their work. While delegating a leader must add supervision because people don't do what you expect but what you inspect. Improve your supervisory skill to reap the full benefits of delegation.

As a Politician in Nigeria if you accept to be vice president hoping to take over from the president after his tenure just perish that thought. It will not work; our history says so. Examples Shagari and Alex Ekwueme; Obasanjo and Atiku; Buhari and Osinbajo. Infact most governors don't usually support their deputy. The only exception in Nigeria has been the case of Dr. Goodluck Jonathan in a unique circumstance. To wish for such similar circumstances like the case of Goodluck Jonathan may amount to wizardry.
So Nigerians be wise, decide whom you will vote for and cast your vote for a competent and ethical leader. If you vote for an incompetent or corrupt leader and come and be praying and disturbing God to change things for you, you are on your own. He will not hear you. Decision determines destiny.
