I was at TJ Maxx today and heard a loud crash and something shattering. Being nosy, I walked towards the sound and saw some people whispering and looking back to the end of the next aisle. When I walked down that aisle, I saw that an older lady had hit a shelf and many things had fallen to the ground and broken. She was kneeling on the floor embarrassed, frantically trying to clean up. I felt so bad for her. Every one was just standing there staring at her. So I went and knelt beside her and told her not to worry and started helping her pick up the broken pieces. After about a minute, the store manager came and knelt beside us and said, “Leave it, we will clean this up.” The lady, totally embarrassed said, “I need to pay for all this.” The manager smiled, helped her to her feet and said, “No ma’am, we have insurance for this, you do not have to pay anything!” If you have read this far, give me another minute.
Wherever you are, close your eyes, and imagine God doing the same for you! Imagine the broken pieces of your mistakes or the pieces of your broken heart from all the blows life has thrown at you all over the floor and you’re there trying to collect all of the pieces and fix them yourself. Now imagine God comes and kneels right down beside you, smiles and says to you, “Leave it all there, I will clean this up for you.”
He loves you that much and wants to put all of those pieces back together if you will let Him! With Him we have this insurance and it’s called GRACE! It’s free! All you have to do is ask Him to forgive you, help you, and to heal you. He’s faithful, I promise! ❤️

I, for one, am living proof that He will put things back together. He will make all things new. I messed up A LOT but God has turned my mess into a beautiful message and He will do the same for you

As we begin this new year, 2021, please pray for this ministry. Please pray that God gives me the vision that He desires for my ministry! I know following His direction, all provision will come!

We are going to fight the disease of addiction head on.....satan is real and seeks to do nothing but destroy us but he will not win IF we keep our eyes on God!

I have recovered from making horrible choices and blaming everyone else. Don’t call those around you fake when it is you that is constantly switching up. I had to learn this myself. The problem is us...not others!

There are many needs in this world. Everyday I get a call about another addict ready for help. Currently I have at least 2 people ready for rehab but the $250 intake is a problem. Another young man will be arriving at A Ray of Hope Addiction Ministry this weekend. Loving these people (call them addicts or whatever but we are all sinners) with the love of Christ!!! It’s what we do! Thank You Lord for sending us another to share Your love with!!!

We do recover!!!

There are days so dark that it feels like God is nowhere to be found. However, that cannot be farther from the truth.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God is always with us. His promise is to never abandon us. In fact, Jesus is continually praying for us!

“So he is able to save fully from now throughout eternity, everyone who comes to God through him, because he lives to pray continually for them.” Hebrews‬ ‭7:25‬ ‭TPT‬‬

These pictures are why I do what I do. On the left was active in my addiction, literally the very last day I used! The picture on the right was one year sober. I am now about 2-1/2 years into my recovery and I know that without God, recovery isn’t possible. I’m so thankful to my brother and his wife for giving me one last chance and taking me into their home. They took care of me and provided for me until I could provide for myself. Ray of Hope Ministry is to show the love of Christ, as they did for me. Without that love, I would be dead or in prison....BUT GOD....

My passion for helping others to find recovery from addiction has grown stronger with each day that I continue walking with God in my recovery! For the past 4 months, I’ve taken individuals into our home to help them prepare to enter a recovery program but most importantly, to love on these people and show them the love of Christ! However, the vision of this ministry is to one day be able to open up my own faith based recovery home for women! Faith based because recovery without God is not possible! I’m here today because God has walked with me every step of the last 2+ years of my recovery. There’s no doubt that without Him, I wouldn’t be here today!
