I’ll have my Whimsy Wagon set up at the Salt Creek Vlley Veterans Center this Saturday June 11 from 11-4. Come say hi to me and the 20+ other crafters and artists we will have set up there. Raffle proceeds benefit the veterans center.

Welcome to my garden

Going on vacation soon and since I can’t travel with my inks and paper, I’ll have to settle for markers and my journal for a week. Haven’t drawn in a while so this should be interesting.

I’m calling this Turnagain Arm. In the 80s I lived in Alaska and spent a winter living at Alyeska ski resort. I had to drive the long and winding road to Anchorage on occasion along Turnagain Arm, a body of water that had mountains jutting straight up in the air. This reminds me of those cold days. Although I never saw the northern lights along this route myself, I have to believe they showed up from time to time. What a magical place and time in my life.

Aurora borealis. It’s not perfect but I’m gonna keep practicing.

Mother’s Day is coming up and any mom, mom-in-law, step-mom, or mom-like person could use a fancy cup. Hand painted with alcohol ink and 6 coats of sealant. Coffee cups $20, soup mugs $25. Each come with a special care package of chamomile tea, honey sticks from locally sourced honey, and handmade lavender soap and mint lip balm from Elder Forest Soap. (Cups NOT dishwasher safe, use soft cloth, no abrasives to clean outside).

Set up the mobile art gallery last night in Grandview Heights for their tree lighting ceremony. Loved seeing all the families out and about even if it was only 25 degrees out there.

I'm trying my hand at larger tiles. Once the resin is applied, the colors will really pop!
