Main Corpse Podcast
Bi-weekly true crime & foodie podcast, Matt & Kelsey review local eateries in the Appalachian region We also try oddly flavored snacks.
Main Co**se Podcast is a true crime and foodie podcast, hosted by Matt King and Kelsey Woods. We've been tasting treats and telling tales since October of 2021. Each week, we review locally owned restaurants in and around our neck of the woods in West Virginia, as well as elsewhere in Appalachia. We then serve up an intriguing story about ghosts, cryptids, local legends, killers, heists, and more.
Weird request: Feel free to DM me privately.
I’m working on an episode for the podcast and I have some questions regarding polygamy and polyamory.
If I have any friends that have some experience, Im looking to be educated so I can talk about it appropriately.
If it’s not your cup of tea, this post/request isnt for you, please keep scrolling.
From today’s short episode, Donald “Chip” Pugh sent in the photo on the right, because he found the previous mugshot photo to be unflattering.

Some inspiration for your Friday…
Howdy, Creeps! Main Host Kelsey here… so you probably noticed there wasnt an episode today. For that, we apologize. Genuinely.
However Britt has had a (mildly largish) family emergency and wasn’t able to edit this weeks episode.
As you all know Matt and I are USELESS without her.
As the pretty faces (voices) of the show, we have no idea how to do that important stuff like taking out long pauses, beeping names (that might get us sued), or balancing the sound so we arent whispering then also screaming at you.
That said, give us a couple of days, maybe the week and we’ll have a new Episode for you ASAP.
Thanks for your patience, understanding, and general creepiness.
Stick around, you won’t be disappointed. As always, Stay Creepy
Our friends over at Folk Hero Coffee Company had to change the name of their delicious Dark Roast that we tried in this past episode. If you’re looking for it (which you should be) find it by its new name- Bridge Monster!
Gather 'round, dear family. I got a tale to tell!
Our beloved "Mothman" coffee, renowned for its rich and toasty flavor with hints of dark chocolate and dark roasted perfection, has transformed into "Bridge Monster.” This new name still pays homage to Mothman’s haunting tale and its connection to the collapse of Point Pleasant’s Silver Bridge.
While we had to change the name, Bridge Monster monster is the same iconic XX dark roast blend. Embrace the dark and toasty notes of our Bridge Monster Brew – a blend that transcends mere coffee; it's a story in every cup!
Wake up with the mysterious with Bridge Monster blend – your favorite coffee, now with a new name. Cheers to the continued darkness in each cup!

Don't touch that dial.
A new short episode is about to be posted, enjoy these somewhat mostly episode-related images...
At 6:00 pm this evening, over on Spotify or wherever you already enjoy our show, look for a brand new holiday special from us, with Christmas cookies and a Christmas ghost story read by Matt.
From your Main Creeps, Kelsey, Matt, & Britt
We hope all y’all have a wonderful Christmas, a happy holiday season, and a very creepy new year!
Wonderland? Narnia? The Shire? West Virginia is all that and more. Plus, we will always offer second breakfast.
Hi there, Creeps. It's the Editor here. Our new full length episode is just about ready to go up for the delight of your ears. It's going up within the hour. Stay tuned and Stay Creepy!
Stay safe, Creeps
Whether you're planning a short trip, all day hike or week long adventure, this tip will help trained SAR teams focus on the correct tracks should you get lost.
Simply place a towel down, lay a piece of foil on top of towel, then step on the foil with all your weight to leave a good impression of the shoe you will be wearing on your adventure.
Edited to add: leave a scent article along with your bootprint!
A scent article can be used for the K9 teams.
Simply place a hat, glove, sock or item that ONLY YOU have touched or worn, into a ziplock bag with your name on it.
📸 Look at this post for more info on scent articles.
