Sometimes I’m a recluse. Sometimes I’m the opposite. Sometimes I just want the company of mighty beasts.

Friends and Supporters of All Forward Adventures, we are in need. 2020 was more than a challenge. At the end of 2019, our storage unit was burglarized. Over $10,000.00 worth of safety equipment, gear and program essentials were stolen, never to be seen again. Just last month our case against the Storage Unit Co. and our insurance claim were both rejected.
And then…due to the fact that most of our programming takes place in the summer, we qualified for absolutely $0.00 in Covid19 relief funds.

I have to admit, I felt lost. It was the darkest period of my career. I felt I had lost the passion for all of it.
I could not stop asking, or answer this simple question; Why the hell is this so hard?

I found the answer in a 10-year-old boy. A child who is having a hell-of-a hard time in school both socially and academically.

Listening to him tell the story of his days, the ways he feels shamed, scolded and suppressed broke my heart wide open.
He told me he doesn’t want to be this way.
He wants to be good.
He wants to be smart.
He wants people to like him.
I sat watching his absolute inability to “be still” and “pay attention”.
I was 10 again. I was reminded of what hurt me, and the identity I created to protect myself.
I do not want that for him.
There is another way.

I had my answer.
It is hard because it is our reality. It is hard because it is real life. It is hard…because it matters.
That young man delivered me the truth.
We have to find a better way.

So here we all are.
I am asking you for your help. We are in need of financial support to provide the intervention, the opportunity, and the moment that our youth can see themselves, the world, and most importantly, their place in it….with hope. Plain and simple hope.

2020 was a nationwide traumatic experience for so many kids. All Forward Adventures is not here to make it easier, we are here to make people. Good, honest, resilient, and courageous people. People whose moral compass points the way to their own potential.

As a Licensed School Psychologist, I am qualified to develop Educational Assessment Reports that can be used for Individual Educational Plans (IEP’s), uncover underlying cognitive conditions and bring understanding to a process that leaves so many parents and students frustrated with the educational system.

Once identified, these conditions can become the catalysts of truly comprehending one's potential. With the right support, we can transform a young person’s academic identity, instill the self-worth, confidence and hope every child deserves to have as they navigate their own path through the learning and experiences that create strong character, resiliency, and truly successful human beings.

All Forward Adventures

It was an amazing week for All Forward Adventures.
Last Thursday we were given the opportunity to share our vision, purpose, and passion with the amazing People from The Flutterby Foundation and The Remax Momentum Orchard Group. They were clearly a group of compassionate and caring individuals who are taking action to better their communities. I can thank you all enough. See you again on the 19th.

Yesterday was a perfect day. 2 trips down the Animas River with kids who are defining who they are and who they know they become. Being in the presence of these young and awake teenagers is what makes me proud beyond words. Thank you Ori Charles, Annabelle Mick, Robbie Patla, Tj Gretz, Darby Vorhees, Lindsay Levine and Sam Atchison (2x) for a simple Tuesday to forever remember.

We must, if we do anything, show our kids how to grind it out day after day, in full pursuit and commitment to what we must do. That is our true role as parents, teachers and mentors. Show them that courage beats normal every time.
