Let me explain the importance of the renewing of the mind that Romans 12:2 talks about.

First look at what Romans 10:17 says.
So then FAITH comes by HEARING, and HEARING by the Word of GOD.

Did you notice that it says Faith comes from Hearing?
Not heard!

This is Extremely Important because if you are not feeding on the Word of GOD then you can not be operating in Real Bible Faith! See Peter was HEARING from God when he got out of the boat and walked his first step on the water. So what happened that caused him to sink?

He saw that the wind was Boisterous,
Matthew 14:30
Boisterous means to be speaking Strongly through Pride!
(This is spiritually speaking)

See Peter started HEARING the lies of the wind that was contrary to The Word of GOD that he had already
HEARD...
He should not have been Listening to the wind.

Now I hope you can see the importance of reading the Word of GOD and Renewing Your Mind.
