Secret of the Blue Room (German: Geheimnis des blauen Zimmers) is a 1932 German mystery film directed by Erich Engels and starring Theodor Loos, Else Elster and Hans Adalbert Schlettow.The film began shooting on 28 October 1932 at Tempelhof Studios in Berlin.It was remade by Universal Studios in the United States as The Secret of the Blue Room.

Church Minshull is a civil parish in Cheshire East, England. It contains 22 buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England as designated listed buildings. Of these, four are listed at Grade II*, the middle grade, and the others are at Grade II. Apart from the village of Church Minshull the parish is rural. A high proportion of the listed buildings are houses or cottages, many of which are timber-framed, and date back to the 17th century. The Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal and the River Weaver pass through the parish. Three structures associated with the canal are listed, a bridge, an aqueduct, and a former warehouse. The other listed buildings are farmhouses, farm buildings, the village church and its gates, a public house, and two bridges.

Portrait of a Young Flautist or The Flute Player is a c.1540 oil on canvas painting by Giovanni Gerolamo Savoldo, now in the Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo in Brescia.The work was first recorded in the 19th century, at which time it was in Lord Anherest's collection in Sevenoaks. It was first exhibited in London in 1894. It was acquired by Alessandro Contini Bonacossi, after being excluded from the bequest to the Uffizi, and sold by his heirs to Peter Sharp, a New York collector. It was later bought by Banca Popolare di Brescia and placed it its present home.

Selaginella bigelovii is a species of spikemoss known by the common names bushy spikemoss and Bigelow's spikemoss. It is native to California and Baja California, where it grows in rocky places in many different habitat types, from the coastline to the mountains to the deserts. This lycophyte forms clumps of spreading upright to erect stems up to 20 centimeters long with a few short lateral branches. The linear or lance-shaped green leaves are up to 4 millimeters long, including the tiny rigid bristles at their tips. They are flattened to the stem or stick out just a little. The strobili borne at the leaf bases are yellow-orange in color.

Replication, in metallography, is the use of thin plastic films to nondestructively duplicate the microstructure of a component. The film is then examined at high magnifications.
Replication is a method of copying the topography of a surface by casting or impressing material onto the surface. It is the commonly used technique to duplicate surfaces that are inaccessible in metrology to other forms of nondestructive testing. Replicas can be used in biology as well:

The replicas may be imaged in the light microscope or coated with heavy metals, the replicating film melted away, and the heavy metal replica imaged in a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM).
The same materials, cellulose acetate films, are used for creating replicas of biological materials such as bacteria.
Field Metallurgical Replication (FMR), in field metallography, is the use of metallurgical preparation on surfaces in the field, by polishing to a mirror image, along with application of acetate or other thin plastic films designed to nondestructively duplicate the microstructure of a part or structure in-situ. The FMR replica is then transferred to a glass slide for examination by optical microscopy, electron microscopy, and other methods.

The 1988 United States presidential election in Rhode Island took place on November 8, 1988, as part of the 1988 United States presidential election, which was held throughout all 50 states and D.C. Voters chose four representatives, or electors to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.
Rhode Island voted for the Democratic nominee, Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis, over Republican Vice President George H. W. Bush. Dukakis took 55.64% of the vote to Bush's 43.93%, a margin of 11.71%. This made it one of 10 states (plus the District of Columbia) to vote for Dukakis, while Bush won a convincing electoral victory nationwide.
A liberal New England state, Rhode Island gave Dukakis his strongest state victory in the nation, with only the District of Columbia voting more Democratic. It was one of just two states (along with Iowa) to vote Democratic by a double-digit margin, and one of only two states (along with Hawaii) to have all of its counties go to Dukakis. Despite this, it was still a relatively strong Republican performance compared to how the state has trended since. The state has voted Democratic in every presidential election that followed. This remains the last time a Republican candidate won over 40% of the vote in Rhode Island.
As of 2020, this was the last presidential election in which the towns of Barrington, Charlestown, Little Compton, Middletown, North Kingstown, and Portsmouth voted for the Republican candidate.
