Central Region Elementary Clash of the Titans Team

Sorry but just got a last minute update on registering for clash of the titans. I was under the assumption that I would be able to register the kids myself but that is not the case. Whoever normally registers your kid for individual tournaments needs to hop on and register them for clash of the titans. I am very sorry for such short notice but I just found out. Please send me a confirmation text or reply on this post when complete. Sorry again for the short notice.

Just a reminder that I need everyone’s weights today. The earlier the better. if most of you are going up on Saturday I’d like to meet maybe that afternoon and go get dinner together. If you’re not coming up till Sunday morning it’s no biggie. I will be at my hotel around noon or so. If anyone wants to meet up and let the kids play in the pool or something let me know!

Good afternoon! Tomorrow is weigh in day. I need everyone’s weight tomorrow. The earlier, the better just so we can get things finalized. The kids must weigh in at or below their specified weight class tomorrow. During weight audit checks on Sunday they will get a 3 pound weight allowance. Please send all weights via personal message rather than posting on here. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to me.

Some of our parents have started booking their rooms for Clash of the Titans. If you are interested in staying at the same hotel, we have started booking at the Ramada Inn in Grayling.

Come on out to the season opener for Central region! In the future if any of you want me to post your flyer for your tournament just let me know and I will do so!

Here is the updated roster after the first set of wrestle offs. We will have one last day for wrestle offs on Tuesday during our 6:30-8:00 practice. You must come this day if you want your wrestler to have a chance to be on the team for our 62 and 67 lb classes. Everyone else is locked in.

Thank you to everyone that came to practice yesterday! It was a bit of a grinder but to create champions early in the season it’s what’s gotta be done. Thank you for getting a few wrestle offs done. Every one of them busted their butts to try and win their wrestle off match and I would be proud to have any of them on the team. My good friend Brian Brown said it best, that there is no other sport that reflects real life situations like wrestling does. Sometimes there is adversity and you can either grow from it or be defeated by it and most wrestlers choose to grow.

There are a few more wrestle offs that need completed. I have practice again tonight at the same time as yesterday and all of you are welcome to come. If we can get a few more of the kids that have a wrestle off match there tonight that would be great!

If we can get most of you to come tonight we will try to knock out the wrestle offs. We need to get those done asap. 62, 67, 72, 77, 82 have multiple kids so there will need to be wrestle offs for the spot. I plan on taking 10 kids so whoever wins the wrestle off gets the spot. With that being said, I’m ok with alternates going since I can have 20 on the roster but I want to be clear, the alternates will only get to wrestle if someone backs out last minute or an injury stops the original from wrestling. Most of us will be traveling 3 hours to get there and the last thing I want is for someone to travel that far and only get one match because we decided to take 3 kids in the same weight class.

Who is available to practice tomorrow afternoon in Springport at 6:30pm? If we can get all the kids that have a wrestle off match there tomorrow we can get them knocked out then. If tomorrow doesn’t work out for most we can plan another day. Also, all of you are welcome to come to any of my practices I have in Springport. My practice schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 6:30-8:00.

I need shirt sizes for the wrestlers. Myway Central is buying us shirts but I need to get the sizes to them quickly so they can get the order in. Please comment below your kids size and name.

Please add anyone to the page that has a kid on the roster. I don’t know most of these kids so it’s highly unlikely I know their parents. If you know of someone that needs added please do so.

I know this is a long post and a bunch of stuff but we are running out of time quickly. I think we have an opportunity to go in and paddle the other regions! 💪

If you want your kid on the elementary clash of the titans team for central region please respond in the comments with your wrestlers name and desired weight class. Once I have that info I will set up a day to have wrestle offs if need be for weight classes with multiple kids. I plan on having a team practice ASAP and I will post that info on this page as well.
