Shenandoah grad Ashleigh Wheeler enjoyed a successful trip to California as the Bethany College junior earned All-Tournament honors in the UC-Santa Cruz Thanksgiving Classic.
"Wheels" had 12 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two blocks in Bethany's loss to UC-Santa Cruz and then tallied 14 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals in a win over Redlands.
She was also named PAC Player of the Week!
Through seven games (Bethany is 5-2), she has scored 77 points (11 ppg) with 32 assists, 29 rebounds, 15 steals and two blocks.

What a great turnout tonight for bingo! We cannot thank everyone enough for sponsoring games, donating and most of all showing up to play! This fundraiser is solely ran by the High School and junior High Girls Basketball team, and I couldn’t be prouder of them! If anyone has pictures feel free to share.

Our first two game of the 23-24 season have been rescheduled:

Tomorrow is the last day to purchase a ticket and be entered for the early bird drawing!

However, you can purchase tickets at the door too! Next week we will be sharing some of our prizes.

Mandatory winter sports parent and athlete meeting tonight 11/14 at 7:30pm in HS auditorium. We will meet briefly after to take schedule changes, expectations and feed the team.

This Sunday November 12 at 1:00pm, Senior Savannah Irvin will play in the OVAC All-star game at St. Clairsville High school . Congrats Savannah !!

All High School and Junior High girls have tickets for sale! This is a fun event and family friendly for all ages! This is our main fundraiser that supports both teams! I also have tickets and can accept Venmo if you choose to pay that way.

We are also still looking for game sponsors and country store donations. The more the merrier!

Take a minute to read the new rule change. We talked about it at practice today with the girls.

SCHEDULE CHANGE

Volleyball has an away scrimmage so HS and JH will practice 3:00-4:30pm tomorrow 10/31.

BINGO IS BACK! We have re-scheduled Bingo for November 25th, 2023 games starting at 6:00pm at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center. Girls will have tickets this coming week and we are currently looking for game sponsors. If you would like to be a sponsor please reach out to a Girls Basketball player or Coach. This is our main fundraiser that will be going to new basketball warmups for both High School and Junior High players.

Some traditions aren’t meant to be broken! First official day of practice calls for a 6am and donuts. Missing a few due to class, rides and sickness!

Conditioning this week will be at the HS gym for JH and HS:

Monday 5:30-6:30
Wednesday 3:00-4:30
Thursday 3:00-4:30

We will be in the gym so basketball shoes.

Due to the cold weather and JH game and HS sectional hosting we will be canceling the remainder of this week’s conditioning. We will start fresh on Monday at 5:30pm in the HS gym. I also have new practice schedules to hand out as well.

See one of the HS or JH players or coaches to place an order! Darla Haas does a fantastic job and strives to get us our apparel before the first game of the season! 💚

There will be no conditioning tomorrow due to a coaches’ meeting. See you all Wednesday!

We will be holding open gym & a team meeting on Monday, October 9th from 5:30-7:00pm at the HS gym for those interested in playing this year. If you are currently in a fall sport please just stop by for the information. This will be for HS & JH girls.

Due to gym cleaning we will be having open gym and little league clinic at the grade school gym. Open gym 4:30-5:30. Little league clinic 6:00-7:00pm.

Reminder- no Wednesday & Friday lifting for the rest of summer. Monday open gyms & clinics are still on!

Due to volleyball camp, we have to adjust our time tomorrow. Little league clinic will still be 6:00-7:00pm but HS and JH open gym will follow 7:00-8:00pm.

Lifting for tomorrow Friday, July 14th is canceled.

Open gym tonight for HS & JH from 4:30-5:30pm. Then we will be opening the gym for girls basketball-ers from 6:00pm-7:00pm and hosting some ball handling and shooting clinics.

July Schedule: We are offering on Mondays, following our High School open gym, a little league skills clinic. We will be focusing on ball handling, footwork and shooting form! This is open to all girls basketball players for upcoming grades 3rd-8th and FREE.
