PRIMARY ELECTION AUGUST 4, 2020
TEMPORARY POLLING PLACE CHANGE
Four of Linn County’s voting precincts will be temporarily combined into two for the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. A shortage of poll workers and the impact of COVID-19 contributed to this move.
Voters at Brookfield 3 & 4 (Joyce Place) will go to Brookfield 1 & 2 at Park Baptist Church Fellowship Building, 121 E Park to cast their vote. Voters in Jackson Township (Haseville UMC) will vote at the Meadville Community Center, 106 W Crandall St.
All questions concerning voting locations and precincts may be directed to the Linn County Clerk’s office, 660-895-5417.
TWO WEEKS!!!
Remember to vote August 4th. Voting is very important, maybe more so nowadays. Take control of our future.
Had lots of help from our grandchildren setting up my banner for the Linn County 4H fair. Thank you
Take a little time to visit the 4H fair. The youth have done a fine job with their projects. Go support and visit with our future. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you to the adult 4H leaders for making this happen.

Hello,
My name is Glen Murrain and I am running for District 1 Commissioner of Linn Country on the Republican ticket. I am married to Pam (Batye) Murrain.
I was born and raised on a 4 generation family farm in rural Linneus where I still reside today raising livestock.
I graduated from Linn Co R1 school, Purdin, MO 1987. I joined the Army National Guard in Chillicothe after graduation and in 1993 assisted in efforts to control flooding during the flood of ‘93. In 1996 I transferred to the Army National Guard 1221st Transportaion Co in Trenton.
March 2003 would turn out to be a big year for me and my family. I was deployed to Iraq to assist in the war effort. I thank God for the safety of my Unit and myself during our time overseas. Returned home August of 2004 and was sent with my Unit to New Orleans in September to assist the citizens during the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
2006 I transferred to the Army Reserve as an Instructor of Transportaion and attained Senior Instructor during my ten years of service there. I retired from the military in 2016 with 29 years of service.
I am an active member of Park Baptist Church, Brookfield serving as Deacon, moderator, as well as other committees.
I am also a substitute bus driver for Brookfield R3 and Linn Co R1 schools and am a member of VFW Post 4557 and Masonic Lodge 86 in Brookfield.
I was a part time Motor Grader operator for Grantsville Township from 1996-2016 and for the past 3 years and currently am serving as trustee for Grantsville Township.
I enjoy fishing, camping, and crewing for hot air balloonist.
I would like the opportunity to serve as your District 1 Commisioner to help in any way I can to improve areas of concern in our community.
I would greatly appreciate your support and your vote in August 2020.
Thank you
