Random thoughts by a not so clueless author on... scrunchies? If you follow me (and if you read my newsletter) you know that I have two daughters, a teen and a pre-teen (also a teen cat but that’s another story 😂) ... You guys, can anyone explain why am I buying so many scrunchies? Like I don't even know what to say... they just keep disappearing and reappearing all over... is this normal? OMG 🤣

This weekend I was scrolling on Disney and came across this movie with Drew Barrymore and I had to watch it. This has to be my favorite adaptation of Cinderella. They keep meeting and slowly falling for each other, it's so believable. I love that she’s an active participant!

My second favorite adaptation is the 2015 movie with Lily James. I loved the kindness message!

Let's get real (at least for a few minutes, then we'll go back to being crazy 😂) you guys... as authors, sometimes we have these crazy ideas and dreams, in my case, I want to make people laugh and have a good time and a thousand other things (some meaningful, some meaningless) that sometimes make no sense. As a new-ish author, I'm new to the whole reader/review thing, but this weekend, I received this review (👇) and it completely blew my mind...

The story's about a risk-averse heroine and it was supposed to be last story in my INN series (I've since added one more) but I remember thinking, "Wow, she grows a lot in the book. I hope people like her. I hope people read it and maybe get inspired to take a risk." At the same time, I was worried that I was making her too "over the top," with her risk-aversion BUT this reader wrote a review about exactly that! Like OMG how crazy is this?!

I write romantic comedy. Being able to both entertain and maybe help someone think about something or make a tiny change for their betterment? Priceless!

To my readers: if you're afraid to take risk, I hope she inspires you to take at least one 🥰 (disclaimer: nothing too crazy please, I'm not responsible if you decide to jump off a plane 🤣 kidding/notkidding)

I wrote a scene for my story: "Inn Close Proximity," a brother's best friend story, where the hero (an architect) bans chancletas and the heroine, wants to throw a chancla at his head... now tiktok is sending me a hundred of them... but every time I see the videos, I laugh and think about my characters doing this to each other 🤣
