Through donations from the local Agriculture sector, we can provide funding to projects that make a positive impact.

Tjaltjraak Sculpture Workshop with Colleen Frost

Inviting our farming community to work with Wudjari artist Colleen Frost to create a stunning sculpture of the culturally significant Tjaltjraak tree using straw, raffia, and wool.

This beautiful artwork will be showcased at Lake Monjingup during our Boodja Dwordak Wirn event in December. Don’t miss this chance to contribute to a meaningful community project!

Time: 10 AM - 1 PM
Location: Tjaltjraak Office, 11 A Shelden Rd

🌟 Exciting News from the Esperance Ag Fund! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce the four successful applicants for 2024! Each of these incredible projects will play a vital role in building a healthy community and enhancing liveability for everyone in our region. We can’t wait to see the positive impact these initiatives will bring!

Balmy Nights Festival 2024
Building on six years of success, this year’s festival will feature refined elements, promising a memorable celebration of community spirit, creativity, and entertainment.

Esperance Theatre Guild
With the grant, the Guild will upskill volunteers and performers, ensuring the Bijou Theatre remains a vibrant hub for all ages. This initiative will foster a love for the performing arts within our community.

Esperance Care Services – “Empowering Voices Project”
This project aims to expand advocacy services at the ECS Community Hub in Nulsen, supporting individuals in resolving complex issues and building confidence to access necessary resources. A step towards new and hope-filled futures for all!

Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Corporation
In collaboration with Illuminart, this project will develop outdoor light projections and soundscapes on Country, sharing important Wudjari cultural heritage stories. Local artists will also lead workshops, culminating in a lantern forest installation.

The Esperance Ag Fund is dedicated to making a lasting impact through donations from the local agriculture sector. Together, we’re investing in projects that support our community, creating a legacy we can all be proud of.

Why did you join the Esperance Ag Fund? I joined Esperance Ag fund to be a part of a group that can deliver funding opportunities to projects locally that impacts our local community directly. Pretty amazing!

Why do you love living in Esperance? Esperance is an excellent location for raising children, thanks to the quality of life, the scenic beaches, and the vibrant farming and town community with highly innovative and forward-thinking individuals.

Why did you join the Esperance Ag Fund?
To try and make a difference to those that can’t help themselves. To try and get step change, ie educate our youth and get them out of the poverty cycle for example. And to get a better repore between the farming community and the town of Esperance.

Why do you love living in Esperance?
Community, it’s a place full of great people willing to share knowledge, experience and help those that need it and the beaches/islands.

Writing a grant can be overwhelming! Here are quick tips to help you to write a grant!

Align with Grantor’s Goals: Tailor your proposal to match the funding organisation’s mission.

Be Clear and Concise: Use simple language to describe your project’s objectives and significance.

Detail Your Plan: Clearly outline your project plan, budget, and timeline.

Highlight Impact: Show the immediate and long-term benefits of your project.

Proofread and Refine: Review your proposal for clarity and correctness, and seek feedback.

Why did you join the Esperance Ag Fund?
I believe in providing service to our community. This initiative excites me because of the potential impact in bringing the farming community and Esperance town together.

Why do you love living in Esperance?
I love driving into town from the farm and being hit by the beautiful view of the Esperance Bay. Whether it is choppy and windy or still and glass- like, it is always impressive. I also love the abundance of sport and arts experiences on offer. There are so many driven people in Esperance who are generous with their time and volunteer to make our community a great place to visit and live.

To qualify for one of our grants, it is necessary to have DGR1 Status. Organisations with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status can receive contributions that are tax-deductible for the donor. If your entity does not hold this status, you may consider collaborating with an auspicing organisation. Should you have any queries, feel free to contact a member of our committee for assistance.
