I have a little surprise…

I asked the kid if they wanted to see the Easter bunny …but it was after I showed them this pic when I was a kid with the Easter bunny …..pretty sure this bunny scared them. Either that or the bangs. Both are offensive. 😂

Jace’s thing at night after prayers, snuggles and I tuck him in is he gets up and says he wants another hug. So I walk back upstairs and give him hugs and tuck him back in. And then 5 mins later he wants a hug again. So I give him a hug and tuck him back in. After 5 times (around an hour) I say okay buddy it’s time for bed cause at this point I’m tired and want to settle in for the night too or work or go to sleep. But last night after the 5th time and way past bed time I said , “how about u come snuggle downstairs”. Jolie heard and asked to come down too so it was a snuggle party and moments I’m blessed to have because this time, this life is so precious and it’s not lost on me how blessed I am.

A little story for 39.
I had therapy the other day and while I was sharing some things with her I started to cry.
She asked me what the tears were. I couldn’t answer because I started to cry more and she said “it’s because you’re proud of yourself isn’t it”. And I shook my head yes and cried even harder but not out of sadness. HAPPY TEARS… cause I never thought I would be here.
For the first time probably ever I’ve started to love who I am. What I am, and who I continue to become. 38 was a year of an immense amount of growth and healing through some very hard things and as I look at who I am now at 39 I’m actually proud of myself and it felt really good to feel that. I have always searched and wanted that validation from others but I have found it from within and that’s the greatest birthday gift I could receive.

39, I’m so excited to continue to grow, learn, heal and connect with others along the way.
Celebrate ur victories. Big and small.
