I wish I knew these when I started YOGA ⤵️

1. To truly experience yoga's benefits, remember that simply doing the physical poses isn't enough – you must also follow Yamas and Niyamas, essential guidelines for your yoga journey.

2. Yoga isn't just about bending your back or opening your hips, although those can be fun. It's about developing awareness through your practice.

3. If you want to ease tightness and discomfort in your body, focus on proper alignment and mindful breathing during your yoga practice.

4. Comparing your yoga practice to others goes against the core principles of yoga.

5. Using props in your practice, when needed, is a good idea. It's a way to stay humble and make your practice more accessible.

6. Enjoying other forms of exercise or workouts doesn't mean you're betraying yoga. Feel free to do what you love.

7. The best yoga practice is the one that suits your body, not necessarily the most popular one. If you prefer Yin Yoga while your friends do Ashtanga Vinyasa, that's perfectly fine.

8. Pushing your body too hard can lead to stress and injuries. Practicing consistently with self-love and respecting your body's limits is more satisfying.

9. Skipping essential elements like centering, prayers, Shavasana, Pranayama, or Om chanting will turn your practice into mere exercise. Practice yoga holistically.

10. If you dedicate time to yoga, it can become a lifelong friend. Yoga will be there for you no matter your condition, supporting you until your last breath.
