👑Social Media Challenge United States National Pageants Day 12💎

What is your legacy you wish to leave behind?

Legacy! I always think of how I want people to remember me. I want people to know my heart. I want to inspire others to never give up no matter how hard anything is in life.

This is why I created Think Like Royalty, Inc. because I want people to see me by my service. Remember me when someone needs emotional support. Know Think Like Royalty is here for you.

I aspire to work for the department of education in the White House and I will get there one day. Working there can help make sure every school has a mental health plan for its students. I didn't get all these degrees because Dr. Darinisha sounds good but I did it because I wanted to reach a nation and help individuals emotionally the best way I could. I did it to inspire other black girls and boys to be Psychologists because there is a low percentage of Blacks in the field. I did it because if not you then who.

I love what I do and with every beat of my heart, my passion for Psychology is driven from a place of empathy, understanding, and love. I know how it feels to be at your lowest and scared. I want to help others who may be feeling the same thing.
is my Legacy I will pass down to my children and my children will pass it down to their children. Living stigma-free is our goal and having generations fight to be emotionally well will help heal our nation.

How do you relax? What do you do to practice self-care?

I get facials to relax. Self-Care is so important and it contributes to our mental health. Facials give me that time to myself to be pampered and to just take care of my skin. One of my favorite places to go is . The staff is amazing and I felt like I was at home while receiving my facial.
Thank you for making me feel like a Queen. Everyone should think like Royalty and know they are worthy to do nice things for themselves. I challenge everyone to complete a self-care act today. Let's love ourselves ❤️

A day in my life looks like this! Starts off with traffic 😆. Then empowerment groups at work. Bringing Think Like Royalty to the Middle School I work at has been a dream. Share your favorite thing about your state?

I love that my hometown is the birthplace of Kermit the Frog 🐸. This is so inspirational to me. You can come from a small town and be anything you want to be in life. 💎

We have a Kermit museum! 🤗

Share a fun fact or two?

I love to share that I went to a Historical Black College and University (HBCU) for my undergraduate degree. Attending Alcorn State University changed my life. I found my love for education on that campus. It was also the first time I saw black Psychologists that inspired me even more to do what I do today.

My culture is important to me. There was one moment in time Black/ African American people could not attend college anywhere else because of the color of their skin so they created their own. That is a powerful history and that is why HBCUs matter. I’m proud 💜💛

Fun fact 2: I have a twin brother and we both attended Alcorn together. He’s pictured with me below.

What’s your platform and why?

My platform " Think Like Royalty" focuses on mental health awareness to empower others to survive, heal, and thrive!

I want to promote mental health awareness as I understand the journey to healing. In my lifetime I suffered from Depression, Anxiety, and Postpartum Depression. By having mental health struggles it has inspired me to help others with theirs. That is why being a Doctor of Psychology is so important to me. I am a professional in the field of Psychology and I founded Think Like Royalty, Inc. to help others with their mental health journeys.

I I also hold groups for women and girls. My pr***en group is having a ball working on things with me this year. I am so honored that people are taking out their time to show our girls life skills. We have been cooking, exercising, and practicing self-love with our different workshops this year. We gave out self-care boxes and we also had a career day with an amazing panelist from the US to Canada.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned and how has it shaped you today? ❤️

This girl right here has grown. I remember feeling lost and I wanted to be someone else. I never have confidence in my abilities and I always listened to the negative things people said about me. I had a gap in my teeth and I hated it, but when I got it fixed I still didn't like who I was.

My mom always told me you have to love yourself before anyone loves you. In high school, as I was comparing my looks, my body, my thoughts to other girls I realized she was right.

I needed to find that light inside me and love myself for who I was. I realized I am different and that's okay. God gave me talents to help others and I should use them, not compare them.

Finding my confidence in my abilities was a long journey and I thank God I love who I am now.

Comparison is destroying our kids. Please love who you are because there is no other person like you. That light in you is ready to come out you just have to ignite it.

This is why my platform is Think Like Royalty, Inc. Think Like Royalty created an Authentic Beauty Campaign to address this issues. I truly want to change negative perceptions anyone may have of themselves. Negative perceptions tend to lead to disorders and mental health struggles.

Happy Sunday!
God will heal any hurt or pain in your life. Trust in him and know he has the last say. Believe in him and give your worries to him. This is no song at all. These words just came from the heart.

I use singing as a coping method when I am going through struggles in life. Being able to sing about my faith is a blessing and I thank God every day for what he has give me.

Being raised by a single parent has truly molded me into the woman I am today. My mom has sacrificed many things in her life for her children and I can’t thank her enough. She’s selfless, loving, dependable and a great mom to all her children.
Today I honor you, Mom! Thank you for pushing me when I wanted to give up. Loving me when I felt I wasn't enough and teaching me resilience by watching you as a role model. I love you so much 💓💓
