It was intimidating at first, but she has turned that deferred dream into an amazing new career. After only a little more than two years in the business, Shirley stays booked and busy, from acting to modeling to comedy, booking more than 35 movies with credits in IMDb (internet movie database) , including BET’s “Dear Best Friend,” three documentaries, national, international, and web television and commercials, print and runway modeling, and most recently, a stage play, “The Battered, The Broken and The Bruised,” playing the role of “Miss Jackie.”
In addition to introducing her comic alter ego “Sista Louise” on social media to rave reviews, Shirley launched a small business “YesIndeed Lifestyles.” Her brand inspires a lifestyle of relentless determination, discovery and radical faith, designed to empower generations of dreamers, entrepreneurs and those individuals who are seeking their next place of purpose. Her motto: This “Yes Indeed” lifestyle has taught me to reach for my goals; not only through prayer but also through proclamation and pursuit. When you hear or see “Yes Indeed,” understand that “No” is not an option, and that your next move is around the corner.
