Feeling SO incredibly grateful this morning to have been introduced to Dayna and Heidi through this year and then of course Sarah through Dayna 🥰🌙

✨ Last year, I met Jen while I was trying to find flats - when I’d always ridden clipless - and wow is she an incredible woman! I’m so thankful our paths have crossed and that she’s been able to help me out this year!

✨ I met Kari 6 years ago at a rooftop yoga meetup and we’ve been friends ever since. Here we are 6 years later and she’s been the most supportive of this Unruly Women endeavor from the very beginning - thank you for all of your help tabling events with me and believing in what this could be!!!

🌙 I’m feeling so grateful for all 4 of you and for all of your help and support this mountain biking season - you made the retreats more fun and helped me make them possible!!

The in-between of growth and what used to be, is where imposter syndrome flourishes.

This has been a real struggle for me, especially lately, so I thought maybe someone out there needed to hear this too.

Just to add to it, here’s a photo dump of great memories over this last year that I felt too self-conscious to share.

The sensation of excitement and fear are so close in my body that the only thing differentiating the experience is my mindset.

Fear of what ifs and lack of control lead to the unpleasant feeling of anxiousness.

Embracing the unknown and finding joy in the “good” what ifs are what build the feeling of excitement.

Embody the knowledge and experience you already have and know you’re absolutely human and perfection is overrated.

The NCTA Kekekabic Trail Chapter is partnering with Unruly Women LLC to host an all-women, two-day volunteer work weekend on the Kekekabic Trail this June. This 41-mile trail shares corridor with the North Country National Scenic Trail, and is located almost entirely within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in the Superior National Forest.

Activities will include hiking while clearing vegetation, digging, branch removal, and moving debris to clear the trail.

Watch the sun set, the moon rise, the moon set, the sun rise. The tide go out, the tide come in. Hear the songs the birds sing.

It’s amazing what we find within ourselves, when we immerse ourselves in nature and away from the box in front of us (phone, computer, tv).

✨ When we discover all we need is within ourselves, nature, and authentic connection with community that aligns with who we are - we realize we don’t need to buy the newest best brightest thing to fill that void.

✨ If you find yourself seeking externally to find something to complete what’s missing inside of you, I challenge you instead to put away what’s making you feel incomplete through comparison and judgements and to immerse yourself in nature and find the wholeness that already exists within you.

✨ When we settle, we give our power away. It nurtures the idea that we don’t deserve better and allows imposter syndrome to flourish.

This festers. We don’t quite feel right in our body, our body might begin to not even feel like our own.

And then there comes a point, that feels like there’s no going back. When we recognize how far we’ve lost ourself, we can either keep going in the same direction getting further away from who we are and who we want to be… or…

✨ We can choose something different✨

The something that feels right even though we don’t know exactly how, or why, or where we’re going.

Because the more we begin to say yes to what aligns with who we’re becoming, the easier it becomes to say no to what’s not - pointing us in the direction of where we’re meant to go.

The unknown.

But, it feels right. And before we know it, we’re recognizing what we do want, where we want to go and who we want to become.

This time of the year, helps you recognize what you need to let go in order to move forward.

In 2021 I made the hardest decision, and fell into the unknown. I was terrified, but now I can honestly say I am beyond thankful that I did. I left what felt soul sucking, and wandered into a future that I couldn’t see.

I hope you arrive in a place one day, where you can thank your past self for making the hard choice that was long overdue.

I believe in you and your wildest dreams. ✨ 🌝
