"My name is Jeff Hillman but most people call me "Jefe or Heif", born and raised in central Illinois. I'd never really had a connection with God until last year when I lost my father to stage four lung cancer. After his passing I started to pray more and talk to him about why it was time to take my father to be in heavan. The more I prayed the more at ease I became through suffering this major hurdle in my life. I came across the serenity prayer a few months after his passing and than coming across this brand itself just felt like I was on the right path moving forward with my life.

I started playing softball about three years ago and I got addicted to it really fast. The competitive drive to want to be great came out fast and I haven't looked back since. This year the team I play with F.O.E (Family Over Everything) got bumped to C in USSSA and I look forward to another great season with these guys. This is more than just a team this is my family on and off the field. When one person can only give you 30% the rest will add that 70% to pick that person up.

Hello everyone! My name is Ellen Robertson, I live in Vancouver, WA. and work in Portland, OR. I have two teen daughters who prefer music and art to competition and a boyfriend who shares the same passion for recovery and softball that I do. I’ve been playing ball in the area since I moved here from Denver in 2011. I started clean and sober ball last year and love to travel for the sport we all love. I first saw ‘God Grant Me’ in Florida 2022 at worlds and fell in love with the design immediately! I travel all over the PNW regularly for ball and Texas, Utah, Colorado and California are on the clock for 2024! My clean date is 5/12/21 🤍 I’m really excited for this opportunity and look forward to expanding the brand to the PNW 🌲 🌧️

My name is Meri-Lyn but everyone in the world calls me Merl. I grew up in a small town in New Hampshire in a super loving family, played sports but softball was my number 1. My father was my coach and unexpectedly passed away when I was 11 so I stepped away from the game.. I used my father’s passing as an excuse to drink and drug the way I wanted to, and until I hit enough pain in my addiction I didn’t even think I wanted to be sober. My sobriety date is 11-16-19, going into the halls that day I thought my life was over and I would never have fun again. That summer my sponsor invited me to a pick up game of softball with people in recovery and I remember being so scared!! But I fell in love with the game in a different way. I tore my achillies my first season playing and at that time I opened my own custom apparel company. God placed some incredible opportunities and humans in my life. This past year I played as much softball as I could and pushed myself to play different positions. I had the opportunity to attend CSNSA in Florida with Borrowed Time and it was the most incredible experience of my life. My love for the game, for recovery, sober softball and God will lead me to some pretty incredible places, and real stoked to be on this journey with all of you! ❤️

"I grew up in California, graduated high school in 2012 in Las Vegas where I first learned about softball I had only ever played one year of baseball so it was a new experience for me, I moved to North Dakota in 2016 and took time off of softball until 2020 when I started playing again I fell in the with the game, I’ve learned a lot since I’ve been playing not just as a player but as a person and I’ve made mistakes but I learned and I’m trying to be a better person then I was the day before everyday! I have met so many amazing people in this sport already and I wanna do whatever I can to help anyone who needs it! I love the message this company and Kyle himself as a person represents and I’m honored to be able to rep such a great company and person! The opportunity to make sure everyone’s needs are met and all the style and swagger that comes with it!"

When I asked Mason Trujillo why he wanted to be a Rep for God Grant Me Apparel Co. , This is what he had to say!
"I am coming up on a year of giving my life to God and being baptized January 29,2023. I been playing softball for years and after my baptism I have realized all the hurt this work has right now because our government has pushed christianity out of public places slowly and I feel athletes are the best way to bring it back because sports are a huge part of todays world. I’m currently finishing up graduating from Texas Tech University in the Summer and coach highschool baseball and I am going to make sure my team knows who made this wonderful game who deserves all our praise. I seen your company and have loved it from the beginning. I loved it for many reasons one being because i realized how fast i can lose my chance to be a disciple, May 2022!I lost my best friend to a car accident , July 2022 i lost an a man that has been a grandpa to me since i was born, Septemebr 2nd 2022 I lost my 16 year old little brother to a freak football accident October 14th 2022 I attempted to take my own life but I had a friend i didn’t even know was religious stop me and tell me God had so many more plans for me and so many more goals for me. After seeing your brand I started living by your brands name because “God granted me” another chance at completing the journey he set out for me. So every time I play a game of softball I wear wrist tape and write the date I lost my little brother and under it says “in his time” and Philippians 4:13 it also says one more chance because God granted me one more chance to be the person I was set in this earth to be. Then I looked into your page and found your sobriety story, August 28,2023 my mom checked herself into a Rehab center for alcohol and when people see rehab they thing drugs. One thing I learned that the world doesn’t see is alcohol is a drug and have people addicted in seconds. September 24 my mom checked herself out and relapsed and tried to hide it then she showed up to my house and we took her to church with us one sunday and she finally came out one day and said i can’t lie to you guys I drank when i checked myself out. October 2 she checked herself into another rehab closer to home and that extended the period I didn’t have my momma,my therapist, my best friend,my better half so times were very rough for me! Now my mom is 86 days sober God granted her another chance just like he did me.What’s a better way to spread the blessings God brings to our lives then a company that sells sporting goods with it all over there merchandise. I have been looking to become a sales rep but I couldn’t find a company I wanted to be one for then I seen your page and you were looking for someone and didn’t even hesitate to ask! I was actually looking to buy one of your God Grant me bats but with mom getting out of rehab getting back on her feet and being a college student money is tight haha but I’m thinking about buying some of the gloves this week!"

"My name is Courtney Holladay and I am 28 years old. I have been married to my husband for 9 years and have 2 beautiful children, (though their personalities may sometimes be less than).
I absolutely adore the game of softball and have for years. I played in Utah for high school and collage.This is the third year I played slowpitch softball, the first year being primarily local. This past year, I have played a fair amount of CSNSA ball all over the country from California to Florida. Next year, I hope to expand further.
I'm as competitive as they come and I love to win however, more importantly, I gain my worth and value as a player through the community and interactions I make with the members on my team. I enjoy finding those who may be struggling on and off the field and mentoring them to be the best version of themselves that they can be.
I feel that anyone and everyone who desires to play can and should play. If for no other reason then to provide an outlet or a mental escape for the stress and demand of daily life.
Not to repeat myself, but softball is more than just a competition in my eyes. It is an opportunity to establish and grow community, happiness and people. I experienced some life threatening health issues this past year, and I feel blessed to be continuing on today. The experience changed the way I look at life, family, friendship, and even softball for the better. The time with each of those aspects of my life is a gift; a gift that I don't take for granted.
I have been clean and in control of my addiction for 4 years, this month. I have been sober for almost 2 years. I work from home to be able to spend as much time with my kids and husband as possible. I owe a great deal of gratitude to my rockstar husband for the support he offers me throughout all my endeavors, especially softball."

I grew up in Everett, MA. Just outside of Boston. Playing sports was something that just about every kid, from every walk of life engaged in. Whether it was from tackle football, pickup basketball, stickball or handball to manhunt. There was also plenty of trouble to get into but I won’t indulge into that. 😈 I moved to NH when I was 18 and now reside in Salem, NH with my beautiful wife, Faith, beautiful daughter, Aaliyah, handsome dog, Benny “the jet” and two cats, Hunter and Fisher. I started playing softball after my uncle Joe Rainone passed away. He was a beloved City worker for the city of Everett, where he was an alumni from Everett High School and an award winning football player and all around standout athlete. The city of Everett held a softball tournament in his honor to raise funds for a scholarship they now hold in his name for student athletes. I hadn’t played any type of slow pitch at that point and my family decided to put a team in to honor our JoeJoe. I got into some local leagues leading up to the tournament and fell in love. I wondered to myself why I wasn’t playing sooner. 4 years ago I got into travel ball and playing USSSA slow pitch. Last year I got into my first clean and sober tourney at the Ryan Kelley Classic. I had the opportunity to play on God Grant Me’s co-ed team after meeting Kyle Hovorka and I not only liked the sweet Gucci and Versace style jerseys I got from but his brand and what it represented. The first three words of the serenity prayer. Now I get an awesome opportunity to rep this brand for my region and spread the message and sick styles to my people back home! 🙏🏼 I could go on all day. I just wanted to shed a little light on myself and where I come from. I’m excited to work with all the other amazing people and to see what comes next from this!!! Acker out! 🫶🏻🥎❤️🙏🏼
