I am who I am, because of who you all are. Tomorrow I check in at Pratt for Miss Kansas week. I’m ready for this week, for this challenge and this life changing opportunity.
Thank you for having my back and loving me. Let’s bring home this crown. 💛👑

Be proud of your hometown. It’s a big part of what makes you who you are. 💛👑🌻

“Your small support could accomplish a big dream.” – Mohammad Rishad Sakhi
Your “small” support has been nothing short of enormous! I am going into Miss Kansas next week feeling like I’m bringing each and everyone of you right there with me!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! 💛
Wonder what’s in the bag? I’ll show you…two weeks from tonight when I compete in the first night of Miss Kansas in Red Carpet Attire/Social Impact and On Stage Question!
I have loved working with Samantha Gwinn and her Mom Julie as they dressed me for Miss Kansas. As part of my Social Impact, Spark, Ignite Kansas, I am happy to have purchased right here in my backyard. Rural communities are dependent on their small town businesses to keep their communities moving forward. Small Town Curves is an amazing little gem right here in the hometown to The Miss Kansas Organization and I am proud to have supported them as much as they have me.
Now, I rest as I prepare for my final State Track Meet this weekend. I promise you, this dress is worth the wait! 💛
One last time…
State track send off is tomorrow, Friday May 27th! Let’s Go Mavs! 🧡🤍
I wouldn’t be able to do any of this without the amount of local support I have had from my friends, family and community. Please swing by to see me and my fellow titleholders as we celebrate the end of our prep and the kickstart to our competition!
Please make plans to stop by and see the girls one more time before they leave for Miss Kansas week!
Miss Southern Kansas 2022- Emily Rugg, Miss Kiowa County 2022 Ayanna Hensley, Miss Cottonwood 2022- Addisyn Heinson Kaycee Krell - Miss Southern Plains 2022 will all be there!
If you are interested in anything they might need for competition week feel free to get with Jennifer! If you would like to bring a card for inspiration feel free as well! Nothing is mandatory except your presence! This will be a great time to mingle and take photos with the girls and shower them with all the love and well wishes!
Refreshments will be provided.
One of my biggest supporters has been the Wilson family and their business Reggie’s Pizza right here in Greensburg!
I have been working for Reggie‘s for about five years now. I absolutely love my bosses and how safe they make me feel, the fun I have when I’m there and honestly the life lessons they have taught me. Of course we can’t forget about the cutest coworker I have, Jordy! 😊💕
Michael, Mindy and Rita have gone above and beyond. Not only do they sponsor our local Miss Southern Kansas Organization, but they have sponsored both my Princess Pizza Party and my competition for Miss Kansas.
They are what makes living in rural community so great! Just like so many others, I appreciate the love and support they have shown to me and this adventure. 💛👑
Lots of prepping going on this week! Not only am I prepping for Miss Kansas in June but my final State Track and Field meet this weekend in Wichita! 🧡🤍🏃🏽♀️❤️💛
Addi Heinson from 1A Kiowa County finished her last regionals as a Maverick. In three years (one Covid cancelled) - 12 races, 12 golds.
Incredible career for Heinson who will look to defend four state titles (100, 200, 400, 4x4) this week.
Shout out to Academy and Manager Gabi for helping me get ready for the Miss Kansas parade! They sponsored some apparel and discounted this display track cleat!
You are getting the sneak peak before pic of my shoe for the “Show Us Your Shoes” portion of Miss Kansas. To see the finished product you are going to have to come out three weeks from today and see me in the Miss Kansas parade in downtown Pratt, Kansas! You are not going to want to miss it! 👑❤️💛🏃🏽♀️
Sending out birthday love to not only my fellow pageant sister but my Miss Kansas week suite mate!
Happy Birthday Emily! Thank you for all you have done to help mentor and prepare me for this adventure! 🎂🎈
Join us in wishing Miss Southern Kansas 2022- Emily Rugg a very Happy Birthday! 👑💛🌻

My family is sitting in section 204 if you want to join the party!
This Wednesday marks the 15th anniversary of the E-F5 tornado that impacted the town of Greensburg on May 4th, 2007. As many of you know last week the town of Andover was also impacted by a devastating tornado. As an organization based in Greensburg, we wanted to do something to help in honor of our fellow Miss Kansas 2022 classmates, Miss Walnut Valley 2022, Katelyn Andrist and Miss Heartland 2022, Jordan Burford, who call Andover home! We will be collecting funds through the BINGO card below to raise money for the Salvation Army. They, like so many, were instrumental in the days immediately following the tornado in Greensburg and the days after.
We will be collecting money now through this Wednesday. Message me with the square/squares you would like to take and we can arrange payment. Venmo is accepted and is -Kooken-1. Bonus: Anyone on a completed card, will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win two tickets to Miss Kansas 2022 in Pratt!
The amounts were determined as followed: 5/4/7 was the date of the Greensburg tornado. 15 because of the anniversary of the tornado. And 100 because this is the 100th Anniversary year of the Miss America Organization.
Thank you for any and all support. Even the smallest amount, can make a difference!
✨I’m Addisyn Heinson, contestant number 8 for Miss Kansas!✨
So what does this mean? It means for the first night of Preliminaries I will do my On Stage Interview and Red Carpet Attire and the second night of Preliminaries I will do talent!
Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM. To purchase tickets go to misskansas.org.
See y’all in 3️⃣9️⃣ days! 🤩
