The Comfort Of Saying “No” Reblogged on WordPress.com
In this journey to simplify, take one area at a time and learn how to peel away the excess to discover the joy of less. However in doing so, don’t get caught up in the steps and definitions. For example, how many shirts should I own in order to become a minimalist? Can a family really consider themselves minimalist when kids toys enter the house? [ 287 more words ]

As promised, here are some tips for approaching narrative design from a minimalist standpoint:
1. Avoid extensive exposition. Instead of starting the game with a voice-over, cut scene, or text crawl, put the player in an interactive role. Set the scene with mood and atmosphere rather than words. Introduce characters with actions rather than biographies.
2. Value exploration over explanation. Reward players for exploring your world rather than burdening them with excessive pages of lore and back story.
3. Avoid optional collectibles that explain crucial details of your world's history. Find ways to implement this information into gameplay rather than audio files.

Minimalist Weight Loss Steps
Step 1: Food. You cannot out-exercise a crappy diet. Stop eating processed food.
Step 2: Exercise. Devote 30 minutes each day to intentional movement. If you want to include household chores in your exercise routine, that’s fine, but really be moving for those 30 minutes.
Step 3: Water. Water is super essential for your health, wellness, and weight loss goals.

Planning on redecorating your home? Here are some minimalist home tips that you can use !
1. Choose a neutral color palette. Too many colors can make a room feel extremely cluttered.
2. Monochrome artwork. Start collecting simple black and white photographs and decor pieces such as dark metal statues.
3. Bring the room to life with a cactus or a fiddle leaf fig. No matter which style you’re gunning for - you can never go wrong with a great tree.
Minimalist living isn’t just about your home and about your possessions. It’s about your time and your life too. How jam-packed is your schedule right now? Do you find it difficult to say no to others when they ask you for something? Perhaps they always ask you because they know you won’t say no. For many people saying no can be a difficult thing. Todays topic is about focusing on what you can control! This are 3 tips that I follow personally :)
1.Keep a positive attitude
2.Work hard every day
3.Ensure your actions are making yourself and others better
If you can do these three simple things each day, you’re focusing on areas you can control and that are important.
There are three things you can control every day. Your attitude, your effort, and your actions. The undeniable fact is you are NOT in control. Not of everything, at least. However, you can focus on what is within your control and play the odds. If you focus on the things you can control, you will place yourself in the most ideal situations, most often. The beautiful thing about minimalism is that it supports being zero waste. If you buy less, you're demanding less of the economy, which will create less demand. It'll take a lot of consumers to reduce the products they buy in order to make a difference in the supply chain, but every little bit helps. "Reduce, reuse, recycle" is in that order for a reason. Even if you don’t cook as much as you’d like to, your kitchen is still one of the most-used rooms in your home. Which is precisely why simplifying this space is one of the best decisions you could ever make. And yet, unfortunately, the pressure to clutter up our kitchens is real. Every day, we’re inundated with images of the latest cookware and gadgets; every day, we feel the pressure to keep piling up our kitchens with more stuff – even when we likely have zero room to spare. Minimalism is often misinterpreted as living empty, but its is more about living simple. Check out today’s video to have a little preview on what minimalism really is! 🙂
Hello everyone!
Here are 2 minimalist habits that you CAN adopt!
1.Simplify To-Do Lists
Keep your to-do list short and manageable. Focus on only one task at a time. When you have a long list of things to do, you tend to feel overwhelmed and not accomplishing anything at the end of the day.
2. Stop bargain hunting.
Buy what you need when you need it.(buy only what you need? Think twice?) Just because it is affordable and nice doesn't mean you need it.
