🚑Ward Simulation🚑

The moment you’ve all been waiting for…

Wondering what life is like as an internist on the medical wards of CUH? Do you want to learn how to apply your clinical skills in real practice 🥼? Do you want to get an early exposure to more advanced medicine? Well then we have a tricky patient that is being referred to YOU. Their care is in your hands 🤒.

Join us, in person, on Saturday Oct. 12 at 11am in Brookfield for our Nephrology Ward Simulation. The case will be broken down into smaller workshops including History Taking 📝, Examination 🔎, ECGs 🫀, and Phlebotomy 💉🩸!

An admission fee of 3 euro will be collected at the door (cash only) with 100% of profits donated to our fund-raising partner CUH Charity. Lets give back to the hospital and patients that help us learn everyday!

🎉🥼 Welcome all UCC medical students to our Case Competition, brought to you by and 🫁🎉

📝 The format will be a 10-minute presentation including clinical detail and key outcomes of a brief literature review.
Q&A will follow (3-5 mins) ⏰

⚕️Entrants will include a team of up to two undergraduates. Cases should reflect General Internal Medicine or its Subspecialities, and may be selected from either inpatient or outpatient practise.

🚑All patient information and case details need to be anonymized.
✅Rubric will be handed out closer to the event.
