Here is a local group that will be hosting a kick-off in August. They offer educational support, social support and extracurricular activities for students. A local attendance officer will be at the August kick-off to help with homeschool registration.

How to enroll your child in a homeschool program?
If you choose to homeschool you children; you will need to obtain a "Certificate Of Enrollment"- this means going to the attendance officer for your child's school and registering them as "homeschooled" this helps avoid confusion about the status of your child when looking at school attendance, which will show that your child has not shown up for school. The school attendance officers will be available for enrollment starting on August 1st. The list of schools and corresponding attendance officers is in the attachment.

I created this page as a source of information for families considering homeschool this fall. I will be posting groups in the area that offer assistance, events, online resources and helpful pages. Homeschool mothers who have extensive experience will be available to answer questions to help parents decide if this is a good fit for their family and how to get started.
