This family recently took a social impact trip with TJJ to Rwanda where they visited an education program for children called Flourish Rwanda 🇷🇼
They learned about the amazing work being done to empower and educate the youth, and spent the morning playing games with the children.
Social impact trips are crucial as they foster cross-cultural understanding, promotes empathy, and empowers communities by addressing local challenges and creating lasting positive change.
The unique architecture of Morocco is influenced from the Berber kingdom, Islam, Moorish (Spain) and France.

In Sri Lanka it is common to see peacocks in national parks or even private gardens. Did you know the male peacocks are the ones with the beautiful feathers? So why is it that the male has such an amazing fan of feathers? Well, most obviously, to attract the ladies when in courtship display. The peacock with the biggest and best fan is normally awarded the girl! How lucky we were to catch a glimpse of this flirtatious dance. Unfortunately he failed and the two hens walked away. Maybe next time 😊
Sri Lankan cuisine is known for its particular combinations of herbs, spices, fish, vegetables, rices, and fruits. The cuisine is highly centered around many varieties of rice, as well as coconut which is a ubiquitous plant throughout the country. During my time in Sri Lanka, we have eaten well. I never expected to fall in love with pineapple curry!
Sri Lanka is one of five nations with a Buddhist majority. Buddhism has been declared as the state religion of the Sri Lankan Constitution which can be traced back to an attempt to bring the status of Buddhism back to the status it enjoyed prior to the colonial era. According to Sinhalese tradition, Buddhism was first brought to Sri Lanka by a mission sent out from eastern India during the reign of the Mauryan emperor Ashoka (c. 273–232 bce).

Get front row seats to the greatest wildlife show on Earth - the great migration.

OK we know this sounds like a no-brainer, but especially in the US, we can get used to not needing visas when we travel to places like Europe and the Caribbean. It’s easy to forget that a lot of other destinations do require them!
🇺🇸➡️ If you’re a U.S. citizen, the State Department’s website (travel.state.gov) is a go-to resource for finding out what you need to enter any country.
🌏➡️ Other citizens should check with their government’s equivalent website for the latest info.
Plan out your passport and visa times so you’re not stuck still waiting for a visa the night before your trip… 🙈
