Bit of a vent post here . Just wanted to give my opinion on the industry in general. Getting really over this whole finger pointing etc . Guys like site inspection have made it worse just literally bagging out peoples work because they donβt comply to a book . There is a massive difference between what they teach you out of a book and how the real world works . The amount of hours spent running a business can be insane and a lot of us like at least some spare time to spend with our families , kids etc . Letβs face it a lot of us would not be doing what we do it we won the 20 mil tats lotto tomorrow . Iβm just sick of this whole finger pointing mentality (you apply to the substrate you own it) . Why not try to educate people rather than pointing them out and calling them a cowboy ? Get every trade on the same page aware of what needs to happen . How you do that I dunno. Maybe make it compulsory for a builder to sit a seminar every 6 months and bring up industry issues such as laying scyon on balconies for example. Better yet for every trade rather than waiting for them to do the wrong thing . Educate people ! The industry is constantly changing let people know but keep in mind it isnβt our entire life ! Rather than pointing the finger educated so it doesnβt happen in the first place
