I have just launched the "On Law and Us" blog-site with the article "Love in the time of COVID-19", which addresses the challenges of balancing our different moral imperatives and the demands of social and economic life, both present an future. I argue that any such debate, and assessment of trade-offs, must safeguard that no one is abandoned to their own luck, or left abandoned within the structures of inequality in our society.
COVID-19 is laying bare the structures of privilege and inequality in our society, leading a growing number of us to realize that COVID-19 is not the greatest equalizer of all times, quite the contrary, it is the greatest magnifier of all times (the magnifier paradigm).
