Hello friends!
I have a little surprise for you..
It's been a little while since I've released any new music for some reason. I think I've been in creative hibernation after putting so much juice into my last album (Alien Superstar). Was a little burnt out!
I've just recently had a big burst of energy and decided to quickly record a few new songs I've been writing lately.
I've gone back to my roots a little bit here and decided not to edit the recordings at all. No fancy effects or extra beats or anything like that here - just 100% me with a guitar and a microphone, singing songs I wrote.
The album is called "Bury It All"
Simple, personal and a little rough around the edges. Like the good old days!
Hopefully this reaches you all easily and you enjoy these new creations from my heart.

I filmed myself rehearsing a song I just learned how to play.
It's called "Enter The Day" and was recently released by one of my all time favorite musical artists, Patrick Wolf.
He hadn't released any music since 2012 and I was worried about the poor lad.. then he came out of the woodworks with an incredible EP called The Night Safari which includes this song I'm singing right here.
Thanks Patrick 🐺 my soul needed this song to exist.
I hope you all enjoy my rendition - please excuse the crack in my voice at the very last note.. my larynx just simply couldn't take another second in that octave 😂

I've been seeing a lot of Peacocks near my house lately for reason.. I wasn't aware they were a feature of Portland but umm here they are so that's kinda cool.
Today this guy was waiting for me at the bus stop and finally showed me his feckin spectacular tail in all it's glory! 🦚
I'm gonna take it as a sign that it's gonna be a super good day 😁

Actually I think I prefer this to a regular stand anyway.. cause now I can fly above the villages and sing hypnotic melodies in the moon light - Sarah Jessica Parker style.

As well as my own lil performance last night , we were also treated to another amazing artist, Jen Forti.
She is originally from Italy and shared some beautiful covers of well-known Italian songs.
She was temporarily accompanied by two of her friends to deliver this superb Acapella number.
So so good!

Last night I played my first gig in Portland! Which was also the first real gig I've had in the US of A since moving here in 2019.
It was a super special night, in a very beautiful space (in the same building that I teach preschoolers in! [an old church])
I sang a few covers as well as a few originals and it felt so so good to be on a stage with a microphone (and my brand-new amplifier with some very lush reverb!)
Also, thanks to my amazing fiancé filming most of the night for me, you too can experience some of my soulful set!

Heya folks - Spotify claims that I'm getting over 400+ monthly listeners these days. Specifically listening to my Alien $uper$tar album!
This is totally great news and makes me feel like I've done something right with this album..
However! I am actually yet to sell a single copy! (In some ways I'm kind of getting robbed by streaming platforms at my chance to be legitimately financially secure through my music)
It's a weird scenario! Finally getting a little bit more exposure to a broader web - but also losing money in the process (it isn't free to upload music onto those platforms.. it also isn't free to get placed into popular playlists.)
I'm now in Mexico and very quickly running out of the money I made working 9 - 5 in the states (and umm we also seem to be getting closer and closer to an all out nuclear holocaust but I don't really want to think about that right now.. "Make Art Not War" sums up my feelings about that pretty well)
So here is where you can potentially step in, my oh so devoted FB followers 😂 All 184 of you if possible!

It's only $11.11 (cause angels 😇)!
If just 10 of you buy it - that's $111.11 (minus transaction fees) which is like 4200 pesos! Which goes along way down here.
If just 100 of you buy it - that's $1111.11! Which is more than enough to support myself comfortably in Central America for the next few months and maybe even get myself a flight home afterwards (to Australia for the first time over 6 years!)
If all 184 of you buy it - that's $2044.. A lot of people make around that much in 2 months of "normal work".. So would it really be much of a stretch to think that a whole years worth of my creative energy could make me at least as much as a normie would make in a couple of months?
Pretty reasonable I'd say!
And hypothetically, if the 438 people that streamed my music this month decided to support me directly through purchasing just this 1 album (1 of my 20+ strong discography lol) I'd make a solid $4,866.
Enough to do what I'm doing here, fly to Oz to see my family, fly back to be with my fiance and even start funding my next musical project!
Obviously thats the dream right: Make music, get paid, make better music, get paid more, keep making music until I'm 100 years old!
And also, even if just ONE person buys my album - that's two days worth of meals you've just provided for Lil 'old'me 🤠 and I'll be just as grateful for that as I will be when I sell 100 copies.

This has been pretty common lately.. lots of great feedback and positive reviews from playlist curators about the quality of my music - not many approvals into their playlists though.. which is a bummer!
But at least I get these great reviews from strangers! Even if I didn't hypnotize them deeply enough to accept my submission - I now know that I potentially could 🤔🧐 🔮 😵💫

Just 1 week left in the USA!
After 3+ long years..
This is the longest I've stayed in one country since I left my Aussie nest..

I didn't really mean to.. but I suppose I had to put some down SOMEWHERE otherwise I may have floated away by now.

It's official!
The Alien $uper$tar has landed!
It's been a very weird year.. But somehow I managed to squeeze these little cups of lemonade out and they are ready to be served!
I've already mentioned this a few times - but it's super weird that Beyonce also released an Alien Superstar into the world recently..
Although I take comfort in the fact that her song took a team of 24+ writers to put together..
Whereas my entire album was written/recorded/produced by yours truly 🦚
with just one cameo appearance from featured artist "Dominika".
Anyways, today is the day that you've all been waiting for! My new album is now available to purchase from Bandcamp (link in comments) and will be available on other streaming platforms sometime soon.
