Huge shout out to Jacki Keating for fostering these guys. They have a long road ahead of them but they are in great hands.

Whew! It's hot out there. Be sure your pets have plenty of water and a cool spot to hang out. And, to avoid heatstroke and burnt paws, keep outings with your dog to the coolest parts of the day -- early morning and evening. Stay cool and stay hydrated, friends!

!!!ADOPTED!!!
Momma cat and her babies have been adopted out as barn kitties.

24/06/2024

It has been a rather successful trapping season with breeding female number 3. The first was transfered to YVAS as she was close to her due date. The second was placed in foster with her newborns and will soon be fixed and placed as a barn cat with the help of Savage Cat Rescue. Her kittens have become 'foster fails' and will become permanent residents at the foster home. This momma and her babies will be up for adoption soon, be sure to keep an eye out for our post and spread the word.

Kitten season is still in full swing, just got these cuties in. 2 males and 2 females, they will be held for 5 days before going up for adoption. Around 5 weeks old they are wild but easily tamed down. Contact Animal Control at 406-780-0009 if you might be interested on taking one or just want to help socialize.

!!!MICROCHIPS WORK!!!
This big friendly boy was picked up after he kept repeatedly showing up at someone's house. Thinking that he was possibly lost they called Animal Control to come pick him up. At the shelter he was scanned for a chip and with just a few phone calls his owner was on their way to bail him out. Turns out he wasn't lost at all, just double dipping on houses to get some extra kibble. Cats are notorious for this and with microchips owners can quickly be found and informed of their unfaithful feline.

The annual Rabies clinic will be later than normal this year on Febuary 24th. Licensing fees will be $12.50 for spayed/neutered pets and $27.50 for intact pets. Vaccines are of limited supply and may run out towards the end of the clinic, please plan accordingly.
