You hear so often in the fitness industry people telling their clients to eat chicken broccoli and white rice 7 days a week, however it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realise your going to get bored eating the same meals each day so we like to mix our meals up and tend to never eat the same 2 meals 2 days in a row, take a look at just some of the meals we’ve had this week for an example.

Microwaving food.. The energy contained in food is an attribute of the chemicals from which it is made. This is not affected by microwave energy. From a nutritional value analysis, microwaving food makes no difference.
However, there is a way, trivial as it may be, in which microwaves make a difference.
Microwaved food is hot, and heat is energy, measured in calories, not in kcal or Calories. 1 Calorie = 1000 calories. If you eat/drink cold stuff, your body has to provide the energy to heat it to 98.6 degrees F. Taking carbs, and making inaccurate assumptions that it behaves like water for a very crude first approximation…
One gram of carbs at freezing point, will take about 30 calories to heat to blood heat.
It will release 4 Calories, or 4000 calories to the body.
30 compared with 4000 calories… Conclusion: Temperature is irrelevant when considering the nutritional value of food. The microwave makes no significant difference.
‘ I drink orange juice so I’m getting my five a day and Vitamin C ‘ Well you are but your also getting a handful of unnecessary sugar added. A better alternative would be have your fruit from its most natural form.
